Im retired now. Had about 60 amatuer and 7 pro fights. Refereeing in the amatuers now and have been certified to begin reffing the pros with the ABC.

There are a few guys that box on here. John Scully posts regularly with good stuff. There are a few amatuers on the scene currently and 1 superstar to say the least in Donald Hoskins.

Are you boxing now or have you in the past?

I started when I was 14 and it worked out well. 7 years of amatuer experience before turning pro was good for me. Having good trainers around helps alot too. You really cant do it alone.

I would have to agree, Hoskins is the super star of Boxingscene. Few if any could compete. I actually had my first match last Dec. I lost a 3 round decision. I personally thought I landed the best punches, combos and power shots, but he did out punch me, so ehh.

At least now I know what the judges look for. Either way I was trying to knock his block off and came damn close. It was the LightHeavy division in Georgia, the tournament was held at my opponents home gym, so I knew I had to knock him out to get the win. I say this because all the fighters from that gym won that night, even if they got their asses handed to them.

I want to fight Donald Hoskins one day., That is my dream, but I might have to settle for who ever is unlucky enough to get in the ring cuz I want to fight this Sept. I started training a bit again. I will go full bore during the summer. Now I am in Los Angeles, way better gyms and fighters. Should be fun.

I have never claimed to have 17, always just 7. I would like to see where I stated 17.

But anyway with the reffing, it was esy for me since being in the ring as longas I had been. Generally, you contact your local boxing board and they will get you acclamated and then you will start judging first. After a bit you get the oppertunity to referee. Its not as easy as it looks, in the amatuers we are there to make sure that nobody is seriously hurt. Yet we want to allow a guy to finish a bout if he is able. However, I always caution on the side of saftey. The crowd often will get on you for calling a bout but its ok, the kid will fight another day. Its alot of fun man. Look into USA Boxing on the net and they should have contacts available in your state. Its alot of fun and I recommend it to any true boxing fan.

I started boxing about 2-3 weeks ago and hopefully I can have atleast one fight by next September. Since I started soon and I don't really know what's a reality for me or not, but I hope to become pro by 21, I'm 15 now. And hopefully have a title by 25

After a few more months of training and more experience in boxing, I'll realize if those goals are possible or not.
