AJ has 4 years on Wilder. I doubt they're in a rush. The fight is inevitable but we're probably looking at 2020 before it happens.

Depending on what the fever gets like after the Joshua-Parker fight, I don't think that boxing let's the fight sit out there that long, tbh. Both camps splitting $80m-$100m, facing a world where the top handful of heavyweights are basically all at similar talent level (Wilder, Joshua, Tyson Fury, Ortiz, likely Povetkin, and possibly Pulev are all near each other; I've yet to see anything from Joseph Parker to put him in that mix).

Don't think Wilder is going to get much more than 35%. AJ will have another belt if he beats Parker and doesn't need the fight as much as Wilder.

Joshua vs Wilder will likely compel MGM Resorts to pay whatever it takes to host the fight on their property; the $15m that they put up to host Cotto-Canelo is a good place to start, but the fact that Joshua-Wilder is a Heavyweight undisputed championship fight between two charismatic big-punching English speaking heavyweights likely gets that up to $20m.

There's not a single other fight that Anthony Joshua could get, at this point, that'd draw Las Vegas, nevermind top the Klitschko number in the UK (which may have gotten over $10m).

A fight with Deontay Wilder has the potential to more than double the pot of any other fight that Joshua can have. He's not getting 50/50, but Wilder's likely getting significantly more than 35%.

Nigeria for the rematch (time zone is the same as UK/Ireland, so it'd be live on Sky Box Office, plus the matinee in the US; the live event money would need to top Wembley though). There's too much money to be made on the first fight to make the move initially.

You're clueless. Vegas paid a site fee Stiverne-Wilder, you don't think they would pay it for a Joshua fight? AJ takes minimum 10,000 Brits where ever he goes.

How is Hearn gonna make money of the Wilder/Whyte fight? Only way he makes money if he promotes the fight. The fight could go to a purse bid and it's team Wilder's, as the champion who decide where the fight is.

Wilder-Whyte sells out the O2 Arena, while also doing strong business in the UK on Sky Box Office (likely not getting to Joshua-Klitschko, but likely drawing better than any non-Joshua PPV, and likely better than most of the Joshua PPVs too.

Whyte won't get paid super money, and Wilder's number on the fight would start at $4m-$5m.

Wilder has alot of people dipping in his pockets. Al Haymon Lou dibella Shelly Finkell and lets not forget his manager with the email. Lol. Before he talks about one Champ. He be more concerned on having one promotiom team.

All about how things are set up, tbh. Haymon gets his 10%-15%, and Lou DiBella ends up with a talent that he can open up his full main building with. Finkell does his job, and Jay Deas basically runs the fight camp.

Wilder gets to focus solely on fighting, and likely still ends up keeping 50%-60% of whatever his final take ends up being, before paying the tax man

The UFC already laid out the blueprint for putting on a fight at a more inconvenient time in the UK while still having it on in a PPV-friendly time for the US market. Those Brits will come out anytime to see Joshua fight.

There is 0 need for the fight to be in Vegas. The fight should absolutely be in the UK at a US-friendly PPV time just like that Bisping UFC PPV.

While I often find myself on the other side of your points, THIS one is a no-brainer. There is zero reason to have Joshua-Wilder in the US. There is a dump truck load of money waiting to be poured all over this fight, and it is sitting in the UK. Of course you want as many US PPV purchases as possible, but the huge cash infusion is sitting across the pond from the US shores. Joshua is the absolute "A" side here. Not arguing talent or better boxer, just that Joshua is Michael Jackson during 80's popular, while Wilder is maybe Poison during the 90's popular. He has an audience and a name to bring more money to the table than any other HW can, but it is Joshua bringing the main gate. Wilder will get paid. And he should. This is an easy sell and where Joshua can bring in 80,000 all by himself, Joshua/Wilder is a 100,000 gate. But there is way too much money to be made on Joshua's home turf.

I still feel Joshua will do one more fight before Wilder to make some extra coin. But I see early 2019 as prime time for these two and both will be able to buy small islands to lounge on from the money to be made.

To be honest I really don’t think Hearn wants this fight next, and he already had his excuse with the 50/50 interviews that Wilder has been leaving out there. With an educated head in his camp like Finkley he has just made the fight more easier to make, thus cornering Fast Eddie. This interview is the last thing Eddie needs, he actually wants Wilder to be outspoken with the 50/50 BS because that way anyone with any sort of boxing knowledge wouldn’t place any blame on Fast Eddie.
