The german swimmers in the 1980's had pills thrown in their drinks and most didn't know. They were all banned after. Knowing dosen't excuse cheating.

A recent study found horse meat tainted with clenbuterol sold as beef in 6 different Mexican cities including markets and stalls.

"The researchers also found that the majority of the vendors surveyed did not want to sell horsemeat and were unaware of the presence of horsemeat in the meat products they were selling."

Mexico is the 2nd largest producer of horse meat in the world behind China, it's pretty common there. We'll know more when the investigation is complete.

Erik Morales also tested positive for clenbuterol vs Garcia and he came in that fight soft and bloated, far from someone that looks like they're on steroids
But but but but is an excuse...

I don't care about tainted meat, everyone can make an excuses... Russians also make them, but they always get banned, but rest of the World gets away with bulls**t excuses.

There shouldn't be double standards & Canelo must be banned from boxing for 1 or 2 years.

A tiny negligible amount was found in Canelo, this is different from the Russian PED situation where huge noticeable amounts were found in athletes, where they must have knowingly doped.

I really think this is just an accident. And honestly, this shouldn't affect the fight at all.
Since YOU know, that mexican meat is contaminated, then surely Canelo and his team knows.

What would the sensible thing to do for any clean superstar ahead of a multimillion dollar fight? Well in order to not jeopardize anything, they'd of course stay away from mexican beef.

Since he apparently did not you have to question his motives for that.

In 99% cases its just bs excuses. ALL athletes should be buying supplements like Maximuscle for example that have their products screen tested. Same with buying their meat products.

I love how its always coincidentally never a drug that isn't beneficial to them.
Isn't it strange that everyone who gets popped for Clen has documented weight issues and shoddy stamina?

he cheated. hes lived in mexico for years, why only now after a fight that he looked poor in, has he suddenly discovered a taste for tainted meat. im not a scientist but i cant imagine one family meal at a restaurant or something would trigger a positive result. and if the meats reputation is so bad, dont eat the ****ing thing. hes been caught red handed as a dirty drugs cheat
