Comparing him to weight classes that are traditionally not paid highly makes no sense. Little guys have to move up at least to welterweight to cross over to the really big bucks.
Ya you’re right but it’s the price you pay for being built up slowly. I wouldn’t be to bitter about that if I was Wilder. He’s on the verge of finally breaking through.

Golden Boy lost a bunch of fighters in the Haymon divorce. But look where those fighters are at now and where Canelo was at 3 years ago. He was making about what Wilder is making now for his fights with Angulo and Lara. Now look at his paydays. Canelo made the right decision staying with Golden Boy and Wilder would be a PPV star if he stayed with Golden Boy or signed with a major promoter.
According to this Forbes article his guarantee was 5 million. Hard to get 45million extra from that.

Also, and most importantly Canelo was making money when Shaeffer was there. Since Shaeffer left who has GB built into a star? Its been 4 years you'd think they'd have at least 1.

AJ is the biggest in the sport not Canelo. Outside of Mexico he has no name and only speaks Spanish so he really doesn't branch out. No PPV numbers are ever confirmed from their side so its hard to really say how big he is.

Wilder's stock continues to go up and there is no reason to believe that it would be doing any bigger with GB. Hell, Ortiz had to leave to get this fight. Joshua fights on SHO, so why would we ever believe that Wilder would've gotten a belt or a shot at Joshua with Oscar?

That was his fight night check. lol He made more then 50M Oscar even confirmed that amount. Canelo controls the entire Promotion getting a cut from everything once the gate is counting, PPVs all counted, plus has his own Mexican TV deal. Canelo is made over 50M for the GGG fight and over 20M for the Chavez fight. He wasn't making half these paydays against Lara/Angulo his last 2 fights when Schaefer was running Golden Boy. His paydays are much higher and nobody is making these paydays in boxing outside of Floyd who just retired and that includes Joshua.

Okay, well if Oscar said it then it must be true (sarcasm). Why should anyone believe that? Oscar hasn't been the most scrupulous character in times past.

And again, why has he YET to build a star since Shaeffer left? I mean if he's making all of these promises to build Spence, and Mickey and Wilder, why hasn't he built any of his current roster? His guys aren't even getting title shots like that and he's talking about PPV. Let's not even talk about the whole racist atmosphere over there with "Black Hitlers" and all that. Why should any black fighter sign to him? Does GB have any on roster? Does he know how to promote to black viewers or how to promote black fighters?

1.4M PPV buys at $70 PPV cost that's 98M in PPV Revenue.
$27,059,850 Live gate off ticket sales (3rd highest in history)

That's over 125M not even counting closed circuit tickets or Mexican TV money, merchandise ect. And you think Canelo and GGG only saw $5 and $3 of it? LMAO

Canelo got a fight night purse of 3.5M to fight Khan that was reported to the public but we know from the Golden Boy/Haymon lawsuit that Golden Boy actually paid him almost 14M. That's public record disclosed by the courts. Canelo took home 80% of the net profits once all the money was counted up.

Alvarez-Khan generated revenue of $27,707,448 and was Golden Boy’s most profitable fight of 2016. Khan made $6 million and Alvarez made $13,309,664 (80% of the net profits) while Golden Boy made net profits of $3,327,415.88.And this was years ago. His new arrangement that's been reported states Canelo now takes home net profits close to 90%. Oscar said himself Canelo made 50M. And the fight generated 125M revenue just off the PPV and ticket sales alone. That's not even counted international PPVs, TV deals for Mexico and other countries.

Well you're fabricating the false numbers already. The reports are 1.3mil and Oscar denies them. at $70 that's 91 million. Cut that in half for the providers. So there is 72-73mil left. I'm sure promoters get paid off the top too so what's that 30% plus expenses to make the fight happen. Where does 50million fall in before paying GGG his cut, this wasn't a cash only deal, and the undercard etc?
