Interesting fight. A rather easy fight for Spence. I forgot how the IBF works from rankings 1-3. Number 1 is usually vacant for the title defense vs challenger correct? I'm confused why 1-2 are currently empty and Ocampo #3.
More interestingly, Ocampo is Spence's 5th Mexican opponent to date. It turns out that Granados and DeMarco are ranked 1-2 respectfully, whom are both PBC, and are more known than Ocampo. Both Granados and DeMarco have not fought since Oct. of last year. Not that Granados and Demarco are threats, maybe, but it would be more consistent had PBC chosen these more known names than Ocampo.
So can someone explain Ocampo's #3 ranking as a mando?

Which is how he lucked into a title shot despite being #3.

Ocampo is #3 and agreed to fight #4 in an eliminator to earn a title shot. #4 ended up pulling out of the fight. So when the mandatory came due, Ocampo was the highest ranked available contender, despite only being #3.

IBF don't mess around with mandatory getting their opportunity. Get this one out the way and get something big for the winter
