Most proven chin in HW?

How will Joshua knocking out Parker prove a better chin?
It will just mean Joshua hits hard which everyone knows . It wouldn't mean Parker has a weak chin. (Unless you went by poster RJJ ******s logic )
1 . Parker was rocked by Takam and had to back pedal , too a aggressive Takam who had him briefly stunned while he covered up .
2 Takam couldn't dent Joshua .
3 . Joshua has fought Whyte (huge body puncher )
Breazeale 85 % K.O record
Klitchko , nuff said
Molina , a decent puncher if anything .
4 . How does Parker who hasnt fought power punchers get the votes and was stunned twice against a similar opponent ?

For me, Anthony Joshua has the most proven chin out of them all. So AJ gets my pick.
However, the best chin in the heavyweight division has to go to Mariusz Wach in my opinion. That man has a near bomb proof chin. Took Wladimir Klitschko's and Alexander Povetkin's best punches without going down. No one is more proven than Wach.
For me, the most proven chins out of the top ranked boxers belong to:
1) Mariusz Wach
2) Alexander Povetkin / Anthony Joshua
3) Carlos TakamComment

There rest were all push downs and weren't legitimate knockdowns from punches. Only the first knockdown was legitimate. That's not a testament to having a bad chin but a testament to being physically weaker in terms of strength. There's no surprises that Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua are both physically stronger.
Not to mention, Povetkin took more punches and damage than Joshua did against Wladimir Klitschko and he also took more punches whilst moving forward and still lasted the distance. Joshua was moving back a lot of the times and took the sting off a lot of Wlad's punches.
Although AJ got right back up from that right hand and proved he has a solid chin that is not in dispute whatsoever.Last edited by Mr Objecitivity; 02-27-2018, 10:18 AM.Comment

Povetkin was hurt by Klitchko jabs . Your own sig shows a weak hook that still has him down.
I see no evidence he has a better chin. He has not proved against big punchers . Wach a huge guy looked like a frail old guy in that fight .
Takam stunned Povetkin too ...... i know Povetkin gets hit more but his opponents werenot power punchers like Joshua faced . You can add Parker to Joshua resume too .....even though Parker will not be landing much .
This is what im saying.

But he's never been dropped by anybody other than by Wladimir Klitschko in over 100 amateur + pro bouts. That's pretty solid evidence of a good chin, isn't it not?Povetkin was hurt by Klitchko jabs . Your own sig shows a weak hook that still has him down.

Not saying his chin is better than Joshua's, but anyone who fights against super heavyweights, regularly against guys who weigh over 240 pounds whilst constantly taking hits and only getting dropped once must have an above average chin at the very least. Right?
Otherwise, one wouldn't have to face a power puncher to be dropped or knocked out. they would be knocked out or dropped by an opponent who doesn't even need to have a high knockout percentage.
And Povetkin is most of the time outweighed by his opponents and gets hit whilst moving forward. Joshua doesn't because he can protect his chin by maintaining a safe distance.
Wladimir Klitschko's left hook was what hurt Povetkin the most. Wlad converts his jab into a left hook which looks like a jab but isn't.
Wlad's left hook doesn't need to look powerful to be powerful. Wlad knocked Eddie Chambers out unconscious for a few minutes with a left hook which looked like a jab or a glancing blow. The same Eddie Chambers was never knocked out by anybody else, before or after.
Wlad's power is really on another level! In my opinion, he is the most powerful puncher of all time at heavyweight. Anybody who gets hit as much as Povetkin did and lasts the distance must have a respectable chin.Last edited by Mr Objecitivity; 02-27-2018, 10:34 AM.Comment
