Comments Thread For: Wilder-Ortiz is Biggest U.S. Heavyweight Fight Since Lewis-Klitschko

By Corey Erdman - Take a moment to consider that headline. It's been 15 years since we've had a heavyweight fight on American soil of the magnitude of the one between Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz on Saturday night. Even if you don't hold Wilder or Ortiz in the same esteem as two Hall of Famers in Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko...

Not really sure a fight that hasn't sold all its tickets can be classed as that big?

So Mayweather vs. McGregor wasn't a big fight because it didn't sell out?

Lewis vs. Tyson wasn't a big fight because it didn't sell out?

Do we really need to make a list of the dozens if not hundreds of huge fights that didn't sell out?

Not to mention the fact that the fight sold over 500 tickets today alone, now has less than 1,000 tickets remaining, and looks like it may actually sell out.

Are you claiming Ortiz is older than listed?

You have to be deluded to believe in the title of this article.

The only thing I'm looking forward to is wilder and all his fans being given a reality chec. It's long overdue

What fight would you say was bigger in the United States since Lewis-Klitschko?

Crap fight, total BS article... Not even close anywhere to Vitali-Lewis fight, the writer is clearly on some strong cheap stuff!
