When Wilder & Klitschko's manager said Wilder would need a couple fights, Klitschko already had a fight scheduled, so he wasn't available anyway. After Wilder's two quick fights, he went public that he was ready for Klitschko ASAP. Klitschko needed to make a mandatory defense against Fury, and Wilder said in a lengthy interview with Forbes that he'd fight Klitsckho in 2016.
As we all know, Fury pulled off the upset, ruining plans for Klitschko vs. Wilder. But that is not Wilder's fault. Just as it isn't Wilder's fault that Povetkin cheated or that King Kong cheated.
Now Wilder is giving King Kong a second chance. In a voluntary defense, Wilder is fighting the most avoided monster in the division. If you can't give him props for that, then you're never going to give him props for anything. You're just a hater, plain and simple.
