I think Chavez jr is actually a slightly more rounded fighter but he was also hyped 2-3x times as much while just being a "solid", gatekeeper level guy with the munchies.

Eubank jr was groomed for this with minimal natural talent so when the going gets tough he just starts winging no-hope ****** punches, cannot improvise AT ALL.

The lazy son vs the dumb son

        That's a good comparison!

Both Juniors were hyped because of their famous dads, and both failed to live up to the hype because it meant they didn't need to work as hard as they should have worked in order to get media attention and big fights.

I voted for Eubank Jr as the most over-hyped because I don't remember Chavez Jr or his team making the kind of outrageous claims about him that we were hearing from team Eubank and their supporters.

And Chavez Jr did win a world title, ko'd Andy Lee and almost did the same to Sergio Martinez, who was the best MW in the world at that time.

Hard to say. Probably Chavez Jr because the industry was behind him way more than it was behind Eubank Jr.

JCC Jr was hyped. But except for some Hardcore JCC fans Nobody that saw him actually thought he had Talent . The bar was set so high for him that early on people knew he'd have to be matched well to achieve anything Near to what his father accomplished . Plus Jr came off as spoiled but not Arrogant like Eubanks constantly Talking his self up .

But was Chavez Jr ever hyped as being, not only the best MW & SMW in the world, but the best fighter who ever lived - when he was still a novice?

Was he hyped as being so naturally gifted that he didn't need a trainer or a coach, just somebody to lace his gloves up for him and call time when he was sparring?

Did Chavez Jr ever pull out of a domestic title fight and his team give the reason as him being so good it wasn't safe for him to be fighting domestic level opponents?

                  Eubank...

Chavez has more substance. He was just lazy but as a fighter, i respect him more than Eubank.
