We know this: Without a doubt Eubanks got his ass kicked. It wasn't close, it wasn't a bad decision, the judges were not partial. He got his ass beat and looked like an amateur. He is NOT elite. He talks too much and he and daddy need to go away for awhile.

Eubank Jr has more talent and will probably end up having a better career than Groves when it's all said and done. He needs to humble himself and find a proper, world level trainer.

The big difference in this fight was that Groves had McGuigan in his corner.

He's very athletic and looks great against lower tier fighters but you're confusing that for talent. He's only been in with two elite boxers and both exposed his fundamental weakness: he's not very creative and lacks skill at distance. Work rate alone is not enough at this level.

                  Exactly - he's 28 not 21.

He doesn't know how o close the gap because he can't use his feet.
He doesn't know how to not smother his own punches against a higher level opponent
He is too easily tied up by a stronger guy.

                  Hire 3 trainers?

Yep, it's time he told daddy to fade...His bullshti has rubbed off on Jr in a big way and it really hasn't helped him.
I hope Jr comes again because he does have ability but mentally he ain't right.

                      No mate. Just wrong.

Nobody around here is calling Groves elite. Have you seen any poster claiming Groves is elite? I haven't. But he looked a level above Eubank last night.

What Eubank has is world class athleticism. But if Groves is a B level boxer that makes Eubank what?

But Eubank needs far more than a game plan from his cornerman trainer. I mean, he needs that as well but in and and of itself that is like giving a racing car to someone who hasn't been trained to use it.

Eubank Sr. was urging junior to get closer all last night - but he didn't have the training to do it.

At 28 yrs old he still needs basic training. Probably he can get better but he will never be elite and I doubt he can win a title unless helped by wily matchmaking.
