Loma doesnt have that body to become a 140 pounder, his waist is already as wide as his shoulders and he has a very short reach, doesnt have the potential do grow bigger as he's already thick;
fight between Lipinets and Garcia will be a really bloodybath, Lipinets cuts himself easily but at the same time hits hard, probably breaks Garcia's nose

I would bet Mikey to beat Linares too. I think he'd fall behind due to Linares' speed, footwork but he'd start to take control around the middle and win either by late stoppage or close decision. Linares' x factor is his skin which seems to hold up better at 135 than it did when he was at the lower weights (perhaps he was draining). His ability to absorb a punch will always be questioned but he seems to have also improved in that aspect and I think his combinations and offense seem to have more variation than at any point previously but something always seems missing with Linares. He's a good fighter but far from great. I think he'll give Lomachenko some problems and a challenging fight early but Lomachenko will end up winning wide.

I just think Mikey has stayed away from fighters with Linares' skill set perhaps because he doesn't really want to have to solve a style/speed puzzle. Mikey struggled with slicker fighters before he won his titles but has no doubt improved however he's also fought a similar style of opponent each time.

I can accept Mikey being in the lower end of the top 10 (around 7-10) I probably wouldn't agree with it. I absolutely can't see a case for him being a top 5 p4p guy. I can't see a case for Loma NOT being a top 3 guy.

Its not them overrating Linares. Theyre just trying to build up these guys to say Garcia is “ducking”.
If everyone outright said Linares had no chance, that wouldn't be fun for Garcia haters now would it? How can they get excited if they dont believe anyone around his weightclass can beat him?

Its not Garcia ducking specific opponents. Hes ducking whoever hes not fighting at any given time. This dude gets them scared and triggers them pretty much every time he opens his mouth. Theres certain guys in older, recent Garcia threads that have like 25+ posts on their own in each one.

The same people saying “who dat?” about Lipinets, saying fight name fighter like Linares instead, will not give credit and just say hes ducking someone else after he plasters Linares into a fine paste on the canvas.

The sad part is, that Lipinets will probably end up doing better than Linares as at least he can take somewhat of a punch. Linares IMO wont even be able to outbox Garcia anyway. Maybe during the first two setup rounds Garcia usually takes. Garcia has a much better jab, that should force Linares to take more chances and risk his glass chin failing him again. 1-3 rounds max of analysing him, then he’ll put him out to pasture.

I think Garcia would KO Linares early.

you are right Garcia didn't quit on his stool he quit standing up in his corner. the tough undersized club fighter salido with his eye shut knocked down a few times was ready to continue and would have came on beating on garcias nose. salido has an iron will Garcia don't. when a fight aint over and one man refuses to continue that is quitting and I do not understand how salido did not get a TKO... at 132 Lomo makes Garcia quit again
