Finally someone else sees the con-man in Garcia. Don't support that fool. He's only in it for the money, not the glory.

Oscar was never Great, I knew he'd lose to Floyd, who was younger and in his prime, whereas Oscar was on a decline.

Hell EVERYONE knows Crawford the ex-140 Champ walks around easily at 170.

Look up Thurman, Garcia, Spence unofficial same day weights when they used to do them a few years ago. Now no one does them but 2015 and before they did all the time.
I don't want to say it's foolish, but with Lomachenko, Linares, and Easter Jr. @135, why go to 147? Mikey is the only lightweight with a legitimate chance to face all 3! You also have big things going on @ 140! Ramirez/Imam, Broner/Figueroa, and Prograis/Indongo! The other reason I don't call it foolish, is that you don't have to be bigger to win, just better, i.e. Leonard & Mayweather! Leonard wasn't as big as Hearns and Hagler. Mayweather wasn't as big as ODLH and Cotto @ 154. It can be done, and if he wins titles @ 140 and 147, he's on his way to the HOF! WAR MIKEY!!!

I think Mikey could have a chance vs. Thurman, Matthysse, or DSG, in 2018! Spence Jr., or Crawford, not so much, however the reward may be worth the risk! When I read between the lines, what I hear from Mikey is "It's getting hard to make 135!"

Did you think Roy could be a Heavyweight Champion, back in the days when he was fighting Hopkins and Toney? Be honest!

wait im confused, is the fight with lipinets still on?

all this dude mikey does is talk talk talk talk calling out opponents from loma to spence, then signs on to fight lipinets??? i used to like mikey, i really think he is the only one to have a legit chance at beating loma but when is he really going to step up and fight the bug names?? it kinda gets old calling monsters out then signing on to fight mediocre competition.

Lipinets is one of the 2 or 3 best JWW in the world. This is a much better fight than any fight at 135 except Linares, who essentially just fought a tune up against Gesta.

Most of the posters that are criticizing Mikey for this fight celebrate when guys they like move up. It is insane to read posters giving Loma props for going up to fight Linares and then bashing Mikey for going up to fight Lipinets.

People have begun to do with Mikey what they did with Floyd-artificially lower whoever the opponent is regardless of the facts. They do with Loma what they did with Manny-elevate anyone they fight regardless of the facts.

Crap like this makes NSB a cesspool.

All you guys that are claiming Mikey is ducking Easter or Linares because hes scurred better back that talk up with something if/when he fights them. Because I will match anyone $4$ in those fights.
Everytime Linares fights I always feel hes there to be beat. And although it maybe true, the dude is solid especially at 135, and it would be a great win for Mikey or Loma. Way better than Easter. Linares has losses but he comes back and has become champion numerous times over and now is unified. In his last few fights I seen that hes a true veteran now and a full size 135lber. Hes lost some hand speed but is way more patient and counters nice. I think Linares is faster than Garcia but Garcia has the heavier hands. As for Loma I think hes faster than Linares on his feet and hands but Linares is bigger and lands more solid.
