Please make this fight as a double header and Put Loma in with Berchelt or Easter. Then have the winners fight in the fall.

WBC created this phuking mess by creating 2 belts. Linares was and is the true champ. He got hurt and they made him champ in recess after a injury so they could sanction another fight for HIS vacant belt. When he got healthy and was offered a bigger unification fight which is allowed by the WBC for any of their champs. To try and fix that mess they created the Diamond belt and ranked his belt over Dejan Zlaticanin who was nothing more then a paper champ. He beat Crolla became the man at 135 but Crolla had a rematch clause that he executed forcing Linares to fight him again. During the rematch Mikey cherry picked Dejan and took his belt. The WBC ordered Mikey to fight Linares so there would be only 1 belt and Mikey not once but TWICE formally put in a request to the WBC asking permission to delay this fight. First he requested the WBC delay ordering this fight in the summer to fight Broner at 140. After the fight WBC ordered him to fight Linares in the fall. After turning down 2 offers from Golden Boy during negotiations the last of which he contacted the WBC and told them not to force a purse bid to get a deal done but instead to delay the fight once again and allow him to fight Lipnets at 140 forcing Linares to scramble and fight Gesta last minute.

Mikey hasn't once defended his belt in over a year and has spent that time fighting in another weight class. WBC should of never gave his belt to someone else and should of consolidated the belts or forced Mikey to fight Linares a long time ago. He's been fighting at 140 and calling out welterweight and jr middleweights for christ stake. How anyone can blame Linares for this mess is beyond ******. If I'm Linares whoever signs a contract to fight me next Loma or Mikey is who I fight. But he'd be dumb as rocks to turn down a guaranteed Loma contract for hopes that after March Mikey finally fights him when he's already turned this fight down TWICE. For all we know he stays at 140 and never fights at 135 again.

It be funny is Mikey vacates and leaves Linares and Sualiman hanging, maybe Linares wont risk a high profile fight with Loma and drop the mandatory position/diamond belt -- after all he will still be WBA champ if he beats Vasyl.

If Garcia stays at 140 Linares gets left without a big fight, no Lomo no Garcia ; this already happened to Jorge with Terry Flanagan a few weeks ago when that chicken decided to pick on a American prospect ( Maurice Hooker) for the vacant jr. welterweight title.

So what do you do if you are Linares? trust Mikey or secure a fight with Lomochenko?

How many years should Linares be allowed to remain mandatory while he continues to refuse to fight the champion?

3 of his last 4 fights are at 140 and he hasnt defended his title once since he won it. How can Linares trust Garcia to fight him at 135 lol ??

WBC is always trying to get in the mix. Creating fake belts and trying force themselves in fight.

Once a upon a time, long ago; there was this organization the had interest in creating a stage that showed who the best in world. Those days are dead! WBC just wants their peice of the pie on every high profile fight possible.

I for one am fed up with all the Super, Diamond, full, interm, part-time, temp, fake champs.

Rule should be in place to that champ must defend belt within xx days or lose belt with option to have first crack at current champ when active again.

Callum Smith got it over the Dirrell stuff and going into the WBSS. WBC want whoever wins the WBSS to be their mandatory.

Loma perhaps represents more money and certainly more exposure (ESPN) and he's a fighter with a better standing than Garcia so Linares should just go that route. Sounds like he probably will. Let the winner try and get Garcia in the ring unless he's decided to stay at 140. He could have Mikey turn down the fight again, Loma have a fight scheduled and then Linares takes a small purse for a Gesta level opponent again.

I don't think its fair to criticize Mikey for turning down the original offer seeing that GBP tried to attach 2 or 3 fights as part of the deal knowing that Mikey fought in court to get out of his previous deal because it forced long term options on him.

Mikey as a free agent appears to be getting a lot more to fight Lipinets.

The next offer seemed to be just to save face. GBP doesn't seem to be up to the same BS with Loma so I'm sure that fight will get made.
