I saw the interview they are talking about in this article. One of the "new" technologies he's talking about is the hyperbaric chamber. The modern hyperbaric chamber was invented in 1917, older types have been widely used in the US since 1877 and the first accounts of hyperbaric treatment date back to 1662.

The other modern technology he mentioned was kind of mumbled out. He said something about his elbow and pointed to his elbow. I assume he doesn't think elbows were a recent invention and that prior to the 90's people didn't have elbows, but with Wilder you never know he clearly isn't the brightest man on the planet, lmao.

Why are you lying? Klitschko already had a voluntary lined up before Deontay even won the belt. Then Klitschko had a double mandatory due (Fury was WBA and WBO mandatory).

Wilder went public in a large article in Forbes that he was ready for Klitschko ASAP and that if Klitschko won his upcoming fight against Fury, he wanted to fight Klitschko in 2016.

Klitschko ended up losing. This all happened the same year Wilder won the title. When exactly was he supposed to unify with Klitschko?

Technology? This guy has no class and is overly confident on the basis of what? Hope Ortiz knocks his lights out.

Yeah sports science has moved on. Technology has moved on.

But for some reason boxing fundamentals- especially in the heavyweight division- are nowhere near what they once were.

So he can keep on about ‘technology’ like he’s some kind of Ivan Drago getting juiced up by a computer and doing indoor timed sprints with a load of Russian scientists watching, while everyone back in the day was chopping logs and doing chin ups in a barn

but the fact is he has nowhere near- not even close- the ability to have troubled Iron Mike in his prime.

He’d have been a perfect opponent for Mike, all gangly with no real strength. Mike would have bobbed and weaved inside those windmills and taken him out with a couple of hooks or a killer uppercut.

I actually see it being a pretty quick win for Mike.

i would put my money on wilder beating berbick, thomas, smith and tucker. they were the least threatening ''champs'' the div had.

and conversely, id put my money on tyson beating up everyone wilder fought to this point.

if tyson was to say hed beat someones ass, everyone would agree with him. wilder has the same opinion of himself and people are in revolt.
That’s because Tyson could box and was a proven force.

            Wilder can’t and isn’t.

tyson did as wilder is doing, beat up those he was supposed to beat up.

tyson has fought marginally better bums than wilder has so far.

imho, wilder would have beaten up the champs tyson did. wilder would have been owner of the hw div in tysons era.

and i still dont know why he HAS to say tyson would beat his ass. we will never know.

But on the other hand, would you expect him to say anything different? Muhammad Ali used to claim that he was superior to past legends like Louis, Marciano, and Dempsey, which was equally as disrespectful as Wilder's statements about beating a prime Tyson. Today's Champions are neither mature nor humble. Those qualities are no longer held in high regard by society in general. We end-up with Champions who have little integrity, zero humility, and a very poor moral fiber.
The difference in Ali saying it and Wilder saying it is that Ali was technically superior to Wilder and was actually the best heavyweight before they took boxing away from him. Wilder is confident as any champion should be, but he's taking this over the top.

Let's say Tyson beat Berbick, Bruno, TNT Tucker, Spinks and an old Holmes as a champion.

Old Holmes who went after to beat Mercer and give Holyfield 12 hard rounds.

That's how good Tyson was before he did break mentally in his life and career.

You CAN'T call those guys "better bums", Iron's reign at this point sht all over Wilder's reign and even over Joshua record (including if he beat Parker).

Wilder is beating out of shape fata$$es like Stiverne, OREOlla, Molina.
