Actually Vargas has as good a shot as any to be the "tune up" opponent, that Thurman wants, before he fights those guys.

Vargas is absolutely calling a spade a spade here. Keith Run Time Thurman ran for his life from Danny Garcia late in the fight and completely ducked Spence outright. Now he doesn't even believe in himself enough to take on Jesse Vargas who is straight up pulling his card blatantly. He called Vargas a tune up and yet ducked him. Thats hilariously TRUE! Errol Spence has mentally broken Queef Thurman without laying a hand on him. Run Time has an 0 and he is terrified of letting it go! Sometime Thurman can't get a KO. He used to be about KO's for life and now he's about KO's against a bum not even in the top ten only. He's completely lost his confidence and needs a soft touch to try to hype himself up. Straight up ducked a Jesse Vargas level guy. He was gonna get a pass for that fight coming off the layoff but he ran his mouth off and now can't even step up to that guy. I think he might end up fighting Rod Salka..

Vargas/Thurmos would be a great fight. I just hope they keep Vargas busy. Someone that determined to keep fighting the best has no biz sitting around. He should have 3 significant fights a year, steadily.
