Comments Thread For: Jessie Vargas To Keith Thurman: Only a Coward Backs Out!

BoxingScene.com recently caught up with former two-division champion Jessie Vargas who returned to the ring in December with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Aaron Herrera. The fight was Vargas' first since a November, 2016 loss to Manny Pacquiao. The 28-year-old pitched a shutout on the scorecards and dropped Herrera in the sixth round. While he was happy with his performance, he admits that the journeyman Herrera wasn't his first choice for an opponent.

You can like or hate Vargas.. but you can't dispute his willingness to fight the best.. He genuinely wants to face the Top guys in the division and tries to make those fights.

Thurman on the other hand, is a poser. He's increasingly becoming fake to me.

He deserved what Brook did. Brook was going to take the short money even though he was the draw because Vargas was being a greedy ****.

Let's just get vargas vs khan with the stipulation that we never have to hear the loser whine and complain about people avoiding them when neither of them have done anything to warrant a reputation of being avoided.

They didn't sign. That's why he was able to sign to fight Golovkin. Vargas was bending Brook over and it backfired. **** Vargas.

See what ****** rumors do to people?
(Anyone wants to bump that ****** thread so they can ban that mthfkr?)
When I first read it it had no link.
And I knew it can't be possible.
A PBC fighter taking Vargas for a tuneup fight.
                    No effing way.
I doubt any of them would take Vargas at the drop of a hat.
