Just because you beat Tiger Woods...that doesn't make you Tiger Woods.

How Taylor looks in those wins means everything. Against Hopkins, he barely did enough to win; and wasn't that impressive at all. Getting a W over a p4p fighter doesn't mean that you deserve that p4p ranking...it just means that they don't deserve it anymore.

Pound-4-Pound is a mythical title and must be earned by performance and consistancey. Taylor hasn't shown any dominance yet at his own weight class, much less in the mythical p4p realm. How he looks against Wright is every bit as important, if not moreso than a win. If Taylor wins against Wright as he did against Hopkins...it means nothing.

IMO , I think Wright will make Taylor look average.

Hopkins twice alone is better then anyone Mayweather ever beat.

The fact is, Hops was number one regardless of age, and Winky is number 2 regardless of age. If Taylor's has 3 wins combined over these guys, it's very easy to place him at number 1 or 2 on the p4p list. Winky looked beatable vs Soliman, but that doesn't mean he's on the slide nor did it knock him down the p4p list at all. Winky had the flu before that fight, and Soliman is so busy he can make anyone look a bit mundane.

                  No, Mayweather hasn't.

You are not very familiar with the top ten p4p list over the last few years apparently. No offense, but Floyd has not beaten a top 10, much less top 5 p4p guy like Taylor has in quite some time.

Jermain Taylor is potentially....potentially the best fighter in the world pound-4-pound......but he's got to show it.

                    IMO, he hasn't, yet.

Mayweather beat two 140 lbers who had previously lost their last fights. Should be a no-brainer.
