Clearly? You obviously don't know what that word means.i'll be honest, i havn't watched the reid the properly so can't comment on that. calzaghe in mid 00s was a machine, his iq definitely got better with age.
most of rjj knockouts were a result of cumulative punches, when he sat down on his punches properly (eg. griffin fight 2) he had incredible power but we barely saw him that fired up for a fight ever. he was quite risk averse throughout his prime and prioritised not getting hit.
oh come on he beat bhop clearly. bhop just wanted to hug and spoil the whole fightComment

Hopkins beat Calzaghe and outboxed him solidly even though it was a wretched fight.
Joe is too hittable. Prime RJJ starches him.
In the leadup to Joe/RJJ... Joe's son ran up to him crying scared as he'd been watching Roy Jones Jr highlights. Joe said something along the lines of... don't worry, he can't fight like that anymore.
Joe was a talent...but Prime RJJ destroys him.Comment

just ones called Sergey Kovalev.
sorry you askedfor it, no competition there. Joe C had his strengths but power was never one of them. More Cardiff fake stoppages without landing a valid punch than I've had full english breakfasts.Last edited by DreamFighter; 02-09-2018, 06:05 AM.Comment

prime roy finishes what ancient roy started. i think he stops joe once he gets him hurt. no offense to calzaghe, a very good fighter in his own right, but you're talking about roy jones, a once in a generation talent.
joe was not all that hard to hit. he had a great chin and he could regroup, but keep in mind that ancient roy had him on the floor. all joe could do to deal with the speed in round 1 was duck his head. and that was a very beat up roy jones!
i don't think a lot of you were watching boxing when roy was truly at the height of his powers. he had speed and power that was virtually beyond compare. his timing and ring generalship were so good he would get bored. hell, i'd get bored! one of the most physically gifted men to ever box. his reflexes are the best i've ever seen on any athlete. and his opponents knew it right away. he was a different kind of fighter.
joe is a bad style for a lot of guys. left handed, throws a lot, great chin and great power to recover. roy jones dones't need a stylistic matchup to win. he had all the physical advantages. speed, power, timing, reflexes, and yes, offensive skill.Comment
