  • Comments Thread For: Golden Boy Prez: Arum Never Called To Do Lomachenko-Linares!

There has been some chatter about fights such as Manny Pacquiao versus Lucas Matthysse and a lightweight match-up between WBA titlist Jorge Linares (44-3, 27 KOs) and Vasyl Lomachenko (10-1, 8 KOs). Those potential pairings are ones that involve boxers represented by Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank.

Arum loves to name drop in order to promote his fighters. Look how he is claiming that Ramirez will fight the winner of the WBSS.

It's all bull**** at the end of the day. You rarely see him make any of the fights he blabs about.

does Erik Gomez have Arum’s number? Maybe steve Kim can give Gomez Arums number and he can initiate the talks. All these boxing promoters always say so and so didn’t call to make the fight. Why can’t he pick up the phone and call Arum

I think I heard Steve Kim on a podcast say that GB is only Linares US promoter and his international promoter is A Japanese outfit

Even though I doubt it maybe TR is negotiating with them instead

I think the deal has to be made with the Japanese promoter and than ran by GBP. I don't know that GBP have much of a say in the fight.

Yawn, who wants to see Loma beat fringe contenders for the Top Rank (WBO) belt...

I think I would prefer to see Loma fight Beltran first.
Loma will probably fight Beltran this year anyways, whether it's sooner or later, so I say just get rid-off that fight first.
More exciting to go from Beltran to Linares than Linares to Beltran.
This would also give Linares time to fully heal from his small cuts and hand. Not major injuries, but I don't want to hear about those things later on.
Of course, we have to see how Beltran comes out of his fight. If he gets injured then Linares should be the priority.

If Beltran is a good enough opponent for Terence Crawford then why he is not acceptable for Loma?

Hopefully Mikey unifies against Easter, after Lipinets, so we can get this going.

                    So did I,

yet look at what dsab posters sh all over other fighters but are once again busting out the lip balm in anticipation of crowning "him" " the atgreatest " when he once again beats an in house overmatched no hoper while claiming to want/being the best at his weight. This guys so lucky Arum has so much pull with that pos chicken sh outfit the WBO, that's why his very 1st fight was vs some midget bum for his wbo "title",he then lost that "title" vs salido but was allowed to fight for it all over again his next fight vs another tiny overmatched in Russell.

These loma fanbois have brought it on themselves by overhyping loma so much despite him having only faced 2-3 fighters near his size & he lost to 1 of them.
