  • That's really disappointing. Thurman is an excellent fighter who should be looking for opponents to raise the bar and show the world that he is the next man up for Spence or Crawford. Whether or not this puts him at the back of the line with promoters, it will definitely rub his fans wrong and hurt his marketability. Expect a Laszlo Toth or Frankie Gavin level opponent in this one.

    • He's beginning to sound like Amir Khan

      • I'm cool with an opponent ranked 16-25 for the 1st fight, coming off an elbow surgery! However, I do expect the next opponent to be Top 5! My question is will Thurman fight 3 times this year? If the second fight of 2018 is not Porter or DSG, and he delays those guys until 2019, then I will be very disappointed!

        • I think Keith is starting to become a bit of a pu55y lately to be honest.

            • If this true then Shame on Keith. I am disappointed in him. He is coming off perhaps the biggest victory of his boxing career and then comes off a long lay off to face a tomato can? It's beyond comprehension. I can understand if he was at least coming off a loss in order to get a confidence builder like Danny Garcia is doing but not this.

                • Too much hate here. The guy has been layed off with injury for a year. He's not taking a good scrap until he gets back in "Ring shape".

                  • If you know the type of injury Thurman had you can understand why I say he's nursing that injury to come back he could have come back a few months earlier with no problems and of course she's not going to fight someone maybe a C+ fighter at best but it's going to hurt him in the long run because in the long run down the tunnel he see Spence waiting for him...

                    • he'll fight a top 5 guy but not the number 2 lol. thats some hoe ****. no way around it... I understand the first tune up after an injury but theres no excuse after that. it'll be over 2 years since the injury. it doesnt take that much time to nurse it. if he's not healed fully, he shouldnt be back in the ring against anybody any ways
