It's gonna be a great fight
Who thinks Gassiev will beat Usyk?

Gassiev is a solid brick of a fighter, not unlike a CW version of GGG. Nothing spectacular to the eye but their durability, pressure and power takes its toll on opponents.
Usyk can't afford to lose early rounds against someone like Gassiev, because when the clock is ticking and he needs a KO he isn't going to find one. Usyk needs to add a bit of craftiness to his game to win this one, even if it turns the fight into a stinker. Hit him first and often and clinch to drag out the time when needed.
I favour Usyk to win by decision but would not be surprised if Gassiev takes this. Imagine if Usyk has another one of his slow starts, losing the first 4 rounds or so while being worked to the body? He has been able to coast and figure out his opponents and then turn up the heat as the fight progresses, putting more and more pressure on them and using his superior cardio to outwork them - but will his body allow him to do that after being pummelled by Gassiev?
All in all, should be a nail-biting fight. I don't care what anyone says, the CW division is stacked as a mofo and the lack of household names or western fighters does NOT take anything away from how good the division is.
Finally a linear, unified, 4 belt holder in a division. The WBSS for the CW div especially has really set the standard for how boxing should be: ALL the belts, ALL the best fighters, ALL in their prime, Mostly UNDEFEATED champions and contenders.
Bravo to the sport of boxing, in an age where people say it's dead / dying.Comment

David Price :
Usyk will make Gassiev work at the pace he wants, by being constantly in range and pressuring with the front foot. He’ll take some licks along the way, but his engine will win him a close decision. To be honest, though, that is one of the hardest questions to answer because you could say the same for Gassiev! What a fight!
Enzo Maccarinelli :
A genuine 50/50 fight but Usyk to win in a tough fight – he might have to survive some shaky moments though.
Peter Fury
I really like Usyk, he’s a great boxer. I’ve not seen much of the other guy, but he will need to be very special to beat Usyk.

It’s a fight I'm looking forward to very much. I slightly favour Usyk. 1. Because I'm a big fan and 2. I just think he’ll have the tools to outpoint Gassiev. Very good fight!
Michael Conlan
I have loved Gassiev throughout this competition, he’s been an absolute beast. I do feel that Usyk’s movement will cause him major problems, but still I’m going for a late Gassiev stoppage!

I love the style of Usyk. His work rate and heart can bring him through any test. I’m sticking with him all the way.

I would say that Gassiev is the stronger, come forward fighter, while Usyk is a more skilful boxer-puncher. I think Usyk wins on points… Or Gassiev by TKO!Comment

I have that fight 55:45 for Usyk, so gun to my head i say Usyk by close decision, the fight is in Russia though, so thats an advantage for Murat, but is he just too slow for Usyk and will he get outboxed most of the fight? Can he catch Usyk, knock him down, possibly knock him out? Yes, thats possible but i just really like both fighters and I hope they put up a great fight where eventually both come out as winners.. I wanna see them both moving up to Heavyweight by the end of the year.Comment
