It's Usyk by decision or Gassiev by KO for me. I lean more towards Usyk by decision, but he can be hurt and Gassiev is definitely the more durable guy. I just think Usyk is more skilled and has a big advantage in experience.

Also not that this means much, but I had Lebedev beating Gassiev, no doubt Gassiev has improved since then, just worth a mention.

I'm with you. Usyk gives the appearance of being the better technical boxer but he doesn't really appear to dominate his opposition while Gassiev is destroying anyone in his way. Unless Usyk has another level to step it up to, I think he's gonna be in trouble.

Gassievs only two possible chances of winning are a gift mother Russia decision or a body shot knock out.

Hoping Gassiev wins with body punches and short left and right hooks.

jesus i can't believe this is finally just two weeks away. It was looking like we weren't going to get this match.

Any word at all on a north american broadcast? Kind of sad that it's been six months and still haven't been able to watch Usyk vs Toby (Briedis) in English

I still think it's a 50/50 fight though. Probably the most even fight on paper this year so far.

Meh, thought Gassiev clearly edged it. He was landing the harder shots. Lebedev made a nice run in the 2nd half of the fight, but still fell a bit short.

And Gassiev who is young, was just a puppy at that time. He had barely turned 23 I believe, and that fight helped him grow as a fighter. Look at how much more technical he is now compared to then. He fights more patient as well and picks his spots instead of just going at his opponent.

I don't buy that Gassiev can only win by KO, he could absolutely win a decision.

I'm going with Usyk. I was just all pumped up from the Dorticos fight at the time.

Gassiev was able to walk through a very hard puncher in his last fight. He should do the same to Usyk. He needs to loop his big shots and use the ******* jab and just walk forward the whole fight. Gassiev late rounds ko. He can't let Usyk get to his body even if Usyk can't crack an egg.

ive changed my mind and picking usyk after watching this gassiev vs lebedev breakdown:

yea, gassiev is an improving fighter but way less experienced and his connect rate vs southpaws has been low
