          The system's was first used for Tony Canzoneri, a jr welterweight.
          However, SRR was the one who brought the Pound for Pound system to fruition.
          It was designed to rate fighters based on overall skill and quality of opposition and take size out of the equation.
          Obviously, the number 1 heavyweight could beat anyone else, but he may not be the most skilled.

              Well, to play the devil's advocate, Toney is perhaps the most skillful of today's heavyweights. He's basically a middleweight in heavyweight frame now. But his quality of opposition post light heavyweight is an illusion.
