Comments Thread For: Crawford Believes He Will Eventually Fight Spence and Thurman

Former two division world champion Terence Crawford (32-0, 23 KOs) believes he will end up fighting all of the top names in the welterweight division - including IBF champion Errol Spence and WBC, WBA champion Keith Thurman. Crawford, who won a world title at 135 and unified the entire division at 140, is planning to make his welterweight debut on a date in April.

I actually doubt either fight happens, due to politics.

The mentality of the fighters involved will be the reason why these fights happen. This is why I think Spence-Bud is more likely and I have more interest in it. Both are real dogs aiming for legacy. My two favorite fighters at the moment.

I want to see Spence vs. Crawford more than Canelo vs. GGG II and Wilder vs. Joshua! The only fight that comes close, for my taste, is Mikey Garcia vs. Vasyl Lomachenko! I think that's the talent trade needed to take place between ESPN and Showtime! I like Lomachenko going to Showtime for Mikey Garcia, and Spence Jr. going to ESPN for Terence Crawford! Make it happen!

Yeah, Spence and Crawford have a real desire to fight the best and be the best.

Sadly, I can't really say the same for Thurman these days.

In other words, it'll have to be PPV. Don't get too excited folks. We have a few years before we get this one. It sounds nice, but realistically we're talking November 2019 at the earliest. More like mid 2020.

I'll pay for Spence-Crawford, or Thurman-Crawford for all the belts.

Haymon and Arum are good at this stage... it will be only about the TV network, right?
