I think he waits until 154 for that fight
Only one guy is coming back from injury and surgery. I mean, this thing took the guy out for a whole year and he's just now announcing a return in May. Why would he come back from an injury and try to jump in with the top guy?

Also, why would he drop a belt to face Spence?

He's said 2019 is the year, let's wait until 2019 before we pass judgement on a guy coming back from an injury. He's been VERY upfront about everything, said he wasn't ready for Spence, he'll be ready 2019.

If he doesn't fight Spence in 2019 and they're both still winning and uninjured we can start calling it a duck. Let's not forget, we heard this same bull**** about Thurman before Porter and Garcia.

But his reluctance to face Spence soon and his attitude towards Crawford, saying he has to prove himself first tells me that he's willing to stall those fights while he takes on lesser fighters. His body language, tone of voice shows that he will fight Spence, but only when he has to not because he wants to add Spence's name on his resume.
      Okay armchair psychologist.

Compare that to Spence's attitude, he would fight Thurman tomorrow if he could. Thurman doesn't have that same hunger.
Yeah, who wouldn't want to take on their best opponent when they're injured.

Exactly!!! Spence vs Crawford is the "THE FIGHT" I'm most looking forward to.

Make it happen!
I like the way you think!!! I have no interest in a the Canelo vs GGG rematch. I'll watch it sure but my interest is in other fights that can be made too.

Thurman: 8 champions/former champions, 6 undefeated fighters, 2 current top 5 ww fighters, and 3-6 title defenses all in the stacked ww division.

Spence: 3 champions/former champions, 1 undefeated fighter, 1 current top 5 ww (maybe), and 1 title defense.

Crawford: 4 champions/former champions, 4 undefeated fighters, i don't think he's ever faced a top 5 in his weight class besides his that are there for a fleeting moment, 8 title defenses and multiple titles.

From what I'm setting Thurman is the guy trying to fight and be the best.
Know one is doubting Keith's level of PAST competition. However he is still the one of the current WW title holders. So it's time for Keith and his fans to put up or shut up!!!

There's a big difference between Molina/Diaz and Spence/Thurman. Yes Bud fought those 2 PBC fighters only because they were low tier guys that Arum knew he was going to beat. Arum knew Bud was going to beat Molina and made the fight without asking for anything else. The Diaz fight almost didn't get made because Arum wanted options on Diaz, Diaz and DiBella were hesitant until Diaz finally agreed. Just look at the purses for those fights, Bud- 1.5m /Molina 400k. Bud-1.5m/Diaz 250k. Arum would be asking for options on either fighter to make the fight and I hardly doubt he would pay them what they're making now. If things were switched on Arum and PBC/Showtime was paying a bigger fee and asked for options Bud, Arum wouldn't even consider the offer. I see Bud leaving Arum soon, especially since he feels that he's being dogged by TR and they're pushing Loma more than him.

He only works with other promoters when his top fighter is fighting a lower tier guy that he doesn't have to worry about asking for future options on them. Even with Horn, I think Arum had a plan to have Horn beat Manny and force Horn into facing Crawford. That's why Arum asked for options on Horn's next few fights. Just look at Manny, how many top fighters did he face that weren't with Arum? Mosely pretty much had to sell his shares of GB to get the fight.

Drop a belt to fight Spence? Thurman wouldn't have to drop no belt as a unification fight over rides a mandatory.
