The only questionable part is how is Spence getting THAT much. Is DiBella getting shorted that much. Haymon FOR SURE takes less than the average manager so thats a cut thats staying with a fighter, but thats coming from the purse anyway so idk that that matters. Is the hot dog money coming to Haymon & Haymon passes on some of that to the fighter? Again who f#cking knows whats up here exactly.

It was everywhere. Some idiot started that rumor. The story went, Spence was going to jump ship to Golden Boy but Haymon paid him 3m to stay.

Ok so spence just fought peterson. Neither of them are promoted by dibella and both are advised by haymon. Dibella put on the show. No promoter i know would sign a 1 fight deal. Errol was paid $1.5 mill-$3.5 mill depending on who u ask and know. Can someone explain to me how this works?

Spence likely made more than $1.2 million. The figure filed with the commission for a main event A-side is often artificially low to minimize taxes and sanctioning fees.

But very unlikely he made $3.5 million for that fight.

relax man, ive been a boxing fan forever... i just never paid attention or gave a sht about how it works with promoters. i have a close friend who manages a hi profile fighter and he specifically told me what spence made behind the scenes. i started paying attention while my friend was building his business sharing with me how much his fighter was making and how much he was making.

i just find the inner workings interesting.

Yep.

If Rafael is reporting on Haymon/PBC, check to see if it's been broken/verified by someone else first. If it's a reliable source, then it's true. If you don't see it anywhere else, or if it's co-signed by a Fisher or Kim, then they're probably getting it from Arum or Golden Boy.
