If I'm just a shill, it should be easy to counter my positions. Calling me a shill is lazy. Prove my positions are faulty. You can't. I don't work for PBC and have never worked for PBC. I'm here offering facts and if you can counter them, by all means, please do.
The data suggests otherwise. The data suggests he's the most popular champion in the division. He has 100,000 followers on twitter. Kovalev had 75,000 and the other two champions have one or two thousand. So basically you have two completely unknown champions, and you have Stevenson and Kovalev. Stevenson has a bigger fanbase than Kovalev. So you're just flat out wrong.fact is no one cares about stevenson
He never ducked top fighters. When the WBC ordered Stevenson vs. Kovalev, Stevenson said YES PLEASE. Kovalev said, no thank you, vacated his WBC belt, and refused to fight. This is all publicly accessible easily verifiable indisputable fact. So why do you choose to lie?his years of ducking top fighters and being inactive has made him irrelevant.
He dominated the WBA world champion. He's ranked #3 by TBRB. So yes, he is a top fighter at light heavyweight. You're simply lying. If I'm just a "shill," why do all of the facts support my position and why do all of the facts destroy your position?jack isn't a top fighter not at light heavyweight who has he beaten?Comment

Of course it doesn't, but it does indicate he'll fight the biggest fights available to him. The facts clearly show that.
Kovalev asked the WBC to sanction Pascal-Kovalev as a final eliminator even though Kovalev held the titles of the other organizations. It was a highly unusual request, but Stevenson had no problem with it, so the WBC said okay.
Kovalev asked the WBC to allow Pascal to defend his honorary diamond title. It was a highly unusual request, but the WBC said okay.
Kovalev asked the WBC to order the fight at 50/50, even though Stevenson was the WBC champion. It was a highly unusual request, but Stevenson had no problem with it, so the WBC said okay.
Kovalev won that fight and became the mandatory to Adonis Stevenson. Everything Kovalev had requested, he was granted. Kovalev was even a television free agent. His HBO contract had expired. He had a guaranteed fight with Stevenson with a 50/50 split, just as he had requested.
The WBC ordered a purse bid for the fight and then Kovalev vacated his title and refused to fight Stevenson. So we can't criticize Stevenson for not fighting Kovalev when it's publicly accessible easily verifiable indisputable fact that Kovalev was Stevenson's mandatory and refused to take the fight.Comment

They both ducked each other once. Kovalev has filled his time since with Hopkins, Pascal x2, and Ward x2. Stevenson has finally found a good opponent. It's pretty clear that Kovalev has fought the better fighters.Of course it doesn't, but it does indicate he'll fight the biggest fights available to him. The facts clearly show that.

You still have to find those guys willing to fight you... I don't recall Ward not wanting to fight Kovalev while he absolutely declined offers to fight Stevenson... I still believe Adonis could have/should have take care of his resume a little more, but he's still way up there in any "I-might-pass-on-that-one-until-there's-no-other-choice-left" of any contender list... Stevenson and Beterbiev are the least called out guys in the Division... I wonder why ?

That's simply not true. Stevenson was a restricted free agent and had an obligation to seek the best offer he could find and then bring it back to HBO to match or not. He had an offer to go to Showtime to fight the unified champion Bernard Hopkins. A bigger fight than Kovalev, but the money all being equal, Stevenson didn't really seem to care which one he fought.
All HBO had to do was match the offer and Stevenson would have been fighting Kovalev. It wasn't a lot of money either. HBO only had to kick in another 50k to match. Very small amount of money all things considered. Stevenson had no control over whether HBO matched or not. He was contractually bound to fighting Kovalev on HBO if HBO exercised their matching rights.
HBO declined, which then bound Stevenson to the Showtime offer sheet.
That is not a duck. And had HBO not pulled a switcheroo and got Hopkins to switch sides, nobody would have been complaining about Stevenson unifying the WBC, WBA and IBF titles. Hopkins thought Kovalev was an easier fight than Stevenson though, so he jumped to HBO. Which ended up backfiring, but you can't blame him for trying.
Of course Kovalev fought the better fighters. Not dis*****g that. Doesn't change the fact that he blatantly ducked Stevenson though.Kovalev has filled his time since with Hopkins, Pascal x2, and Ward x2. Stevenson has finally found a good opponent. It's pretty clear that Kovalev has fought the better fighters.
Stevenson is now fighting the #1 light heavyweight in the world according to the IBO computerized ratings. Kovalev is fighting a dude nobody has ever heard of. For the second time in a row.
Criticize Stevenson all you want, but he's made good business decisions while Kovalev has made horrible business decisions. Stevenson is happy to face the top competition that is willing to face him. You should consider that when you have as much power as he has, guys aren't exactly lining up to fight you.Comment
