Mikey has a belt at 135. Do you want a unification against Mikey or a defense against Loma? Linares refused to fight Mikey if not on hbo. So the question remains, will he fight Loma on a network that is not hbo? And if he does, how can that not be seen as blatantly ducking Mikey? No, we won't do it for a unification with Mikey, but we will for a defense against someone else. Can anyone who says Linares isn't ducking Mikey tell me how that isn't ducking? I'm pretty sure that is the definition of ducking. Linares not only loses the fight and his title, but also any and all respect any fan ever had for him, if he makes concessions to Loma he wouldn't make for Mikey.
Easy because Loma has a much larger fanbase and gets many more views for his fight than Mikey and therefore will be a bigger payday. Also Loma is considered P4p #1 or 2 by most of the credible outlets that rank fighters so beating him would gain Linares much more respect in addition to more money. Also much more recognition fighting on Espn which will get double the views of a Showtime fight against Mikey. Sorry that your boy Mikey has avoided the challenges and is fighting bums on Pbc

mikey was the b-side in his last fight against broner and did less than a million views.

loma was the a-side and did over 2 million views.

why are you talking about linares fighting mikey...mikey was fighting on undercards until his last fight. now that linares has options he's going to choose the better one. mikey had his chance but hey he's got that lipinets fight coming up! the one we all wanted!

Even after Odlh left and tried to lure Pacquiao away with a briefcase full of cash Arum made the Pacquiao fight where Pacquiao was a huge underdog. Arum has always shown a willingness to put personal feelings aside to make big fights. After Gamboa left Top Rank Arum tried to have him fight Mikey which was a huge risk for Mikey. It was career high paydays for both of them and Mikey ran because Arum wouldnt offer him any more fights after that cowardly act. Also Loma did call out Mikey right after he made Rigo quit and said he wanted to fight Garcia next. Mikeys career will always stagnate because he wants to cherry pick so much. Mikey is running from all the real challenges. He was already offered Linares with no options and he turned it down. Also turbed down Robert Easter just to fight a bum. And you say fighters are avoiding him? Its clearly the other way around and he proved it in the seckbach interview
So Linares is willing to fight Mikey not on hbo??? Please provide the link. Because if not, Linares said he would not fight off hbo for Mikey but will for Loma. That is ducking.

Yes, Arum let Pac fight ODLH FINALLY, after ODLH had tried numerous times. And the only reason was because no one thought Pac had a chance. If Pac had loss, it would not have hurt his earnings one bit.

And to compare Jessie Vargas to Cotto, Pac, Floyd, Loma, Mikey just proves how far you have to go.

So, Loma said he would fight Mikey? Ok, will his promoter??? Has Arum said he will allow this???

And Gamboa?!? The guy is bum. He wasn't that good with peds and since BALCO he has been a complete bum. Also, Mikey wasn't as big as Loma is. You know it and I know it. He wasn't on any p4p lists.

If you think Arum is willing to make the fights fans want, you are alone. Go to espn and email dan Rafael. You two can talk about how awesome Bob is for boxing. You are a crackhead if you think Arum is allowing Loma near Mikey.

Arum on the left, Rafael on the right, and you in the middle. :bukkake:

The fight everyone wanted is Mikey-Linares??? If it wasn't for Mikey no one would even have heard of Linares name. Yes, Mikey had a chance to fight in a lower weight, for less money, in a division he already has a belt in, or he could a champ in a higher division, where he has never had a title, and pays him more money.

Yes, Mikey had the chance to fight on hbo for less money. He chose to fight for a title in a 3rd or 4th division for more money. Mikey is getting $3.5 million for his next fight. Loma just got $1.2 for his last fight.

I don't care how much any fighter makes, but I'm not going to bash someone for moving up in weight, winning a title in another division, and making three times as much as his closest "rival" per fight.

Yes, Mikey had his chance. I bet he feels like an idiot now. Making $3.5 million instead of one million. Dang, Mikey is an idiot! And Linares is the winner! He still gets to lose in a blowout, but probably for less money and now he will have questions regarding why he was afraid to fight Mikey off hbo, but not others. Yep, in a year, the boards on here will be full of threads on Linares and he will be making $3.5 million a fight.

Mikey was the one who ducked Linares dont get it confused. Mikey says hes his own boss and isnt contractually bound to anyone, yet Golden Boy said he could fight Linares with no options and he turned it down to fight Lipinets. He was also offered Easter on Showtime, so he was offered 2 chances to unify but chose to fight some cab driver. He clearly ducked them and now Garcia and his fanboys are crying that Linares is going for a much bigger and more important fight because Mikey doesnt have the balls to fight any of them. I respect Loma and Linares for having the balls to fight each other which is something Mikey Garcia clearly doesnt have

hey drcool...if linares didn't fight mikey and lets say chose to fight lipinets. would that be a duck???

your logic makes no sense. its ok if mikey avoids a fight and fights a bum but when linares tries to fight someone better hes ducking? you got that reversed. .

its ok if mikey ducks if he gets more money according to you well linares will get more if he fights loma. mikey wants 3.5 million ot fight lipinets how much you think hes going to want for someone actually good? this is why haymon ruins fighters by ovepaying them

no why would you say that? loma is more popular than mikey so now they want loma-linares. if haymon is willing to lose that much money to make mikey happy then he is a fool. overpaying his fighters so that they can fight bums. what good does that do for anyone but mikey? i find it very dubious that a guy who doesnt draw at all would be paid so much but then again haymon has made terrible decision after terrible decision. in reality a mikey-linares fight makes more money but in haymon math maybe not
