Linares has been ordered to fight Mikey next. And a day or two later, Linares says he wants Loma instead.

Mikey has a belt at 135. Do you want a unification against Mikey or a defense against Loma? Linares refused to fight Mikey if not on hbo. So the question remains, will he fight Loma on a network that is not hbo? And if he does, how can that not be seen as blatantly ducking Mikey? No, we won't do it for a unification with Mikey, but we will for a defense against someone else. Can anyone who says Linares isn't ducking Mikey tell me how that isn't ducking? I'm pretty sure that is the definition of ducking. Linares not only loses the fight and his title, but also any and all respect any fan ever had for him, if he makes concessions to Loma he wouldn't make for Mikey.

Mikey did an interview for Esnews the other day where he was clearly upset Linares is saying he wants to fight Loma. He was getting all emotional about it like a chick. He said hes not going to wait around for Linares if he takes another fight. He said he would fight Easter and then move up to 140 for good. So clearly he has no intentions of fighting Loma if hes fighting Easter and moving up. Im glad Mikey wont get to fight Linares he doesnt deserve it.

Ok, Arum literally let Floyd "Money" Mayweather leave because Arum refused to make a fight with ODLH, because ODLH left him. He lied numerous times to prevent Pac from fighting Floyd until Pac was old and clearly done. Arum has NEVER shown any willingness to let one of his best fighters fight someone not with TR that might beat them.

You do realize, Mikey didn't fight for two and a half years, because he left TR and Arum threw a hissy fit and kept him tangled up in court for that long? And you mean to say, Mikey should stay at 135 and try to chase Loma, try to get an 85 year old man to do something he hasn't done once in his entire 85 years?

Arum will never allow Loma to fight Mikey. After Floyd left, after one of Cotto's fights, Arum said Floyd was scared crapless after seeing that. Floyd wanted the fight then. Arum said Cotto wasn't ready. Cotto was ready, Arum wasn't. That is why Cotto had to leave to fight Floyd. That is why JMM and Bradley had to sign with TR for multiple fights against Pac.

Mikey has no intention of fighting bums in a lower, weaker division in hopes that TR will suddenly change the way it has done business for its entire existence. Yes, Mikey had agreed to fight Linares, and Linares wouldn't take it unless it was on hbo. Now, that he has been ordered to begin negotations, Linares suddenly doesn't want to unify.

Mikey wins in this. Linares is saying, Mikey is too good to fight on anything besides hbo, but Loma isn't that great, so I'll make concessions for him. But only, because if not, then he will be forced to fight Mikey.

This just shows the lengths Linares will go to, to avoid Mikey. Everyone wants to see Loma-Mikey, except for Arum. If Arum wanted that fight, all he would have to do is make an offer to Mikey. Why isn't Loma saying he wants Mikey? Mikey said he would happily fight Loma, but that he doesn't believe Arum will ever allow that to happen.

Why didn't Loma come out and say, let's do this at 135 to Mikey? But he does to Linares? All these clowns are running from Mikey. Mikey moves to 140 and Crawford leaves the division, Linares refuses to face him, Loma isn't allowed to even say his name.

Tank isn't getting a get out of jail free card. He is a very good fighter, a top prospect. Loma is an elite, HOF fighter in his prime. Yes, people would like to see this fight, but not that much. People don't care that much because they know, as of right now, there is no way Gervonta beats Loma. Its not a get out of jail free card, because he is admitting he cannot beat Loma right now.

You might remember a boxer by the name of Erickson "the hammer" Lubin. Highly touted amateur, prospect highlighted and hyped up by PBC. Well, as soon as he got a few wins as a pro under his belt, this Lubin took a fight against a top fighter in his prime, one of the Charlo twins. I doubt we ever hear Lubin's name again.

I remember a young, highly touted champ in his early 20's named Fernando Vargas. Then he fought a prime Tito Trinidad. He was never the same after that fight. Physically or mentally.

Fans know Gervonta is too young and inexperienced to have a chance against Loma. Gervonta, or at least Floyd, realize this too.

This is great for Loma because if he wins he will be a 3 division champ in only 12 fights and then if Beltran wins his upcoming fight like he should then Loma can fight him next and finally unify a division. 126 and 130 champions ducked Loma. Its a smart move for Linares too because its his biggest payday he can get and right now hes fighting on undercards. Also a loss to Loma is expected and he cab just go right back to where he left off but if he wins that would skyrocket him right to the top. Even if he loses but makes it close like Jacobs did to Ggg it will benefit his career. And Mikey Garcia will be left in the cold fighting his cherries. Its a win win for everyone

I cant believe you made that huge post which is full of inaccuracies from beginning to end. He let Jessie Vargas fight on a Golden Boy undercard against Sadam Ali where Vargas was an underdog not that long ago. Even after Odlh left and tried to lure Pacquiao away with a briefcase full of cash Arum made the Pacquiao fight where Pacquiao was a huge underdog. Arum has always shown a willingness to put personal feelings aside to make big fights. After Gamboa left Top Rank Arum tried to have him fight Mikey which was a huge risk for Mikey. It was career high paydays for both of them and Mikey ran because Arum wouldnt offer him any more fights after that cowardly act. Also Loma did call out Mikey right after he made Rigo quit and said he wanted to fight Garcia next. Mikeys career will always stagnate because he wants to cherry pick so much. Good post and I agree. It's kinda funny how these Mikey fans have all these excuses and claims when it's Mikey who's the one saying "They won't let that fight happen", well why not attempt to negotiate? Instead he just dismisses it and as a result there's not much buzz around him anymore. If he really wanted Lomachenko then he'd stick around at 135 and force the fight either through mandatory or media but instead he just says "Oh Arum won't let it happen", some but it most don't.

Mikey doesn't have many fans but what fans he has they are fiercely loyal to him and he can't do no wrong. They have an excuse for everything.
