golovkins fans, trainer and promoter all said these two things...."ward isnt relevant right now...hes been inactive" and "dont even think ward can make 168 anymore"

so golovkin had a chance to fight andre ward who is rusty and had been inactive...and also would have had to kill himself to make the weight.....yet he didnt want to....that sounds like a dream to me if you want to cherrypick a big name.....struggling to make weight and been inactive for nearly 2 years and had only really fought paul smith to that poitn(ward wanted each guy to take one more fight then meet in 2016)

but you guys expect us to believe that golovkin wanted to fight ward in 2014 who was in his physical prime and was fighting pretty regularly and had no trouble making weight? haha...yeah ok!
nice straw man but it was ward who killed the fight. there is a whole thread proving this. recap: ward wanted a tune up first and then ggg aka he wanted ggg to sign for the fight which would happen in 2016(according to wards own promoter) and the wbc already had said they would order the wbc champion to fight ggg in 2015 so why would ggg kill/delay his chance to fight canelo/cotto by signing to fight ward? is that a smart move? obviously not and you know it. ward knew it too. it was not an offer that was designed to be accepted.

all ward had to do was offer ggg a one off fight while ggg was waiting but instead he did the exact thing he knew ggg couldn't. tried to lock him up into a long term deal when he knew he was next in line for canelo/cotto(a much bigger fight) you should be asking yourself why ward wasnt ready for ggg right away. they were both available and he needed another tune up wtf? he just had a tune up vs paul smith and he needed another one? makes no sense.

it was all publicity. if you offer someone a deal you know they cant accept you didnt really offer them anything. ward had several years to try and fight ggg after ggg tried to fight him but he went silent mode for years only emerging to make this silly fake offer which he knew would be turned down since no promoter in the world would jeopardize the cotto/canelo fight. and yes i know you are going to come back "but ggg stepped aside and let canelo fight khan thefore..." but since that happened well after the ward deal its not relevant. you cant assume that canelo wasn't going to take the fight. thats being disingenuous.

you need to be asking these questions to ward instead of pretending it was ggg who didnt want the fight:

why wasn't ward ready to fight right away?

why did ward need more tune ups to fight a guy moving up?

why did ward want ggg to fight him at the same time as he was scheduled to fight canelo/cotto winner?

did ward think they would choose him instead of a super fight that makes them ten times more money?

anyway if you are honest with yourself you will see that it was wards side making a publicity push and nothing more. lets not pretend like they are stupid, they knew it was a deal that was not going to be accepted but they wanted to get back at ggg since people were saying ward ducked him earlier. very petty stuff from someone very thin-skinned.

Please this old story has been done to death. Fact is Ward should of never got embroiled in the argument between his two promoters Antonio Leonard and Goosen. He took the morale ground and stuck with Leonard who at the time hadn't paid Leonard for the Rodriguez fight, so according to Leonard and Ward, Goosen was hardly an angel as he was made out to be as he was screwing over another promoter and trying to edge Leonard out of the picture.

Ward should of left Leonard and Goosen to duke it out in court for the alleged non payments to Leonard. Instead he ended up side lining himself for a significant period of his prime. I get why Ward did what he did, he saw a business partner get screwed and no longer trusted Goosen for these shady dealings but he never had a leg to stand on, in regards to his contract with Goosen.

the reason ward got sidelined is because hbo kept turning down his opponents. guys like dmitri sartison and periban. its in the court documents. goosen had top fights lined up for him that ward simply wouldn't accept because he thought he was entitled to easier fights for the same pay. he had a minimum with goosen but goosen couldnt meet that minimum unless he fought good opponents and he didnt want to do that so hbo said no thanks. we are only going to pay good money for good fights.

                      hahahaha...look at this delusional tripe

he wanted another fight after smith for obvious reasons...everyone considered smith a joke of a fight and a glorified sparring session....he wanted one legit, barrera, type of opponent before meeting...thats logical to ask after nearly a 2 year layoff you dumb monkey

i dont need to indulge in your fantasy..or say anymore than i already have...any reasonable, sane, person knows what i said was correct

"if golovkin didnt want a rusty ward that supposedly would struggle to make weight why on earth would we believe golovkin would want a prime and active ward that had no trouble making 168"

                      thats just called logic
