That's it right there, GB thinks Linares deserves a 50/50 split and there was no way Mikey was going to sign on to GB to fight Linares. Did GB ask Campbell or Crolla for a 3 fight options on them? GB is delusional to think Linares deserves a 50/50 split with either Mikey or Loma. There's a reason why Linares has been fighting over seas so much under GB, he doesn't draw and GB can't afford to pay him. For his headline fight at the Forum against Campbell, he was paid 250k by GB and the arena was pretty empty. Arum is no way going to agree to 50/50 split either, that's why he's by passing Oscar and going to talk to Linares lead promoter first.

Mikey should fight Flanagan or Easter (although i had fortuna beating him) if he insists on going back to 135 after Lipinets.
Flanagan is fighting Hooker for the WBO 140 title. I think Mikey will stay at 140 if Linares fights Lomachenko next. Mikey should have just taken the Linares fight especially since it had no contract attached. Haymon could always maneuver him a shot at 140 later on.

Well it had a deal attached at first, which tells me ODH didn't really want to make the fight. Then when that blew up, he tried to save face and Mikey told him to **** off.

ODH was forced to put him in a sh-t fight with Gesta and now perhaps Loma where he will lose IMO. Lose/lose for Mikey and Linares IMO.

Mikey IMO got hurt when Easter looked like crap. Had Easter shown up and fought like he should-tall with power-would've made a Mikey/Easter fight appealing.

I guess Mikey fights lipinets, then the Flanagan/Hooker winner for another belt at 140.

He's right. Loma will box his ears of which will put who on the come back trail. Garcia will be out of 135 by the time he rebuilds. His focus should be cleaning out 140 to strengthen his position when moving to 147.

I think he beats Linares but it's a fact he ducked this fight in 2017. He submitted official requests not once but twice to prevent and delay the WBC from enforcing this fight that was ordered way back in 2016. Linares took the gesta fight because he turned down the contract in dec. The WBC says no more delays from Mikey and he has to agree to fight in march. You created this mess so if lomachenko slips in and gets the fight instead of you no one to blame but yourself.
Yeah, he's lost me as a fan over time. If this was a European fighter he'd be getting all kinds of ****. He's calling for a Spence fight now. Nobody is buying that **** surely?

Not sure what the WBC policy is but it will be interesting since for whatever bizarre reason they made him "diamond" champ while Linares is the real champ maybe if Loma gets the fight first and wins Garcia won't accept the fight and just moves up is my guess.

It's a shame if he elects to stay at 140 since I think he's too small for 147 and 140 is a bit dead but I guess that's his master plan.

There's the Barthelemey/Relikh winner too for another title.

Prograis and maybe Taylor in a few years could be the only really interesting fights there for him and I don't think he's going to 147 for the top guys at any point.

I think Mikey will be one of those great level guys that never had a defining fight or he had it too late.

It's pretty clear Mikey Garcia scares the s**t out of Linares (and Lomaputa). Garcia vs. Linares is ordered by the WBC. Wouldn't Linares get stripped of his title if he opts to fight Lomaputa?

It's either get knocked the f**k out by Garcia or slapped a few times by Lomaputa. No doubt Linares is gonna choose to get slapped.

Neither Garcia or Lomaputa are draws so the money will probably be similar for either one of them.
