Hopefully it happens. Linares won't quit and he'll be more competitive than recent Loma foes but it's inevitable there will be plenty who pick Linares and become fans of his and then will immediately trash him after the fight, say Loma ducked someone else, that he needs to fight welterweights etc etc

Linares won't see the final bell. He's massively overrated right now and some think he's a super skillful p4p boxer.

But all Linares really has going for him is handspeed, size and experience. Take that away - and Lomachenko is the best at taking that away - and all that's left is an average boxer with a weak chin and paper skin.

Easy fight for Lomachenko but Linares will undoubtedly show more heart than Rigondeaux and at least try to fight.

Win. lose or draw I doubt Linares quits. He has no history of quitting that I know of in a long career of wars in the ring.

Before the fights announced 'whys he not mentioning linares?' Day after the fights announced ' why's he fighting demarcos leftovers?'

lomachenko is a natural middleweight who cheats the scales with drugs. golovkin is a HW. kovalev is a lizard.

I'm finding it funny that there's threads dedicated to bashing him for saying he'd be open to fighting Easter since he has a belt and called him out and is blasted as a cherry picker for that. Now it appears they've been negotiating a Linares deal and Linares is a unified, lineal, ring champion at 135. I think they are going to need a few days to come up with the angle on this one especially as it comes in the wake of their new guy Mikey passing on a Linares fight.

I think Linares will survive the distance and try to make a fight of it. I don't see him quitting. I think Loma's speed and angles will give him fits though.

Of course we can already start counting the excuses by the Loma haters now. Linares is washed up, has 47 fights and three losses, 32 is old, Linares is ducking Mikey to fight Loma, etc.

I've already seen an excuse or two in this regard, but I can't recall exactly what was said.
