He was ranked #1 or 2 because the HW division is dog ****. Stop using numbers trying to prop him up hes a fat gatekeeper. And he beat a fat gatekeeper for the title.Comment

Not to upset anyone but yeah most people today's day and age would beat the past. Granted there was a lot of Killer Instinct in those Fighters or players of any sport. But with the science and everything else we've learned about every sport you can see people are faster stronger and smarter. For example I know everybody hates him but with Floyd Mayweather he shows this against Conor McGregor using forms of the rope-a-dope knowing today's day and age how effective the body is and patience in the ring. He knew he would Tire him out such as the great Muhammad Ali knew you would tire out Foreman. In one way all the fighters that were the best in the past where the best of their past they've showed they've learned and they found ways to overcome adversity. Then you see other people learn their ways and add more to it to win. That's the sweet science. You learn from the past and you improve from the past.So your stance is every new #1 guy in a division is better than and could beat all previous #1 guys in the same division in some fictional place devoid of time and space?
I wouldn't agree with that, but fair play to you with that opinion cuz like I said neither of our opinions are actually provable.Comment

Only most?
Like I said its all measuring other dudes ****s. All you can be is the best NOW. And sh^t even thats subjective these days cuz there are a TON of fights not happening in divisions to prove who's the man.
You can't be the best anything else (all time, P4P, or whatever other bs there is like that).Comment

But you can. The fact that people are able to pick up more weight than ever run faster than ever swim faster than ever. They learn conditioning that was never even heard of 30 years ago. Conditioning that is crazy. That's why every record is falling. Humans evolved on a yearly basis. Just because we could communicate and learn from are mistakes. You become better in every aspect that we can. To say you can't compare it just don't make sense because that's what you learned from to become as great as you are today. The rushing records constantly getting broken in football or just Tom Brady. Or Lebron becoming the youngest person hit the 30000 point mark. Michael Phelps shattering everywhere swimming record. That's because of the work ethic these people are learning. To say the past can compete it's just not real. Yeah they were amazing of their time but as of right now our current athletes are amazing of our time and all time. And if possible 30 years down the road will even be better than they are nowOnly most?

Facts are facts. Tyson won by being up close (too short to fight at range) and intimidating his opponents before the fight. If he struggled to get up close, he generally lost. It is that simple. He is fundamentally more compact and technical the way he throws his shots but since when were fights won solely because of that?
That's the problem with most of you guys - you cannot accept the truth. Never said Wilder was the most technical boxer ever or that he threw everything textbook perfect. However, a fight can be won in a variety of ways. Jermain Taylor beat Hopkins twice - was he better or more technical? No.Comment
