This fight reminded me Usyk vs Huck one, with a younger harder hitting and cleaner fighting version of Huck.
In my opinion, Usyk schooled Briedis starting from round 4. Briedis obviously lacks amateur boxing career coming straight from kickboxing, and it shows.
I was surprised to see how well Usyk takes punches. Briedis is a heavy hitter, and he landed a couple of really clean ones, and Usyk ate them without a wink.
I just can't get how the first judge and a whole bunch of people here managed to see it a draw.Comment

Poor performance from Usyk, barely sc****d it out. First 6 rounds he threw punches with no power, bouncing while he punched, Briedis really clapped him with a couple nasty uppercuts, but Usyk got a chin thats for sure. Problem with Usyk is that he either doesnt have power or refuses to throw power punches. no way I see him surviving at heavyweight vs any good fighter.Comment

Great fight!
Both deserve huge props, thought the right man won, but those scorecards were exactly as close as they should have been.
Atmosphere was unreal. Hopefully Breidis can get another big fight soon. That Perez fight left a bad taste with all the clinching, but he showed a true warriors heart last night to go with his beautiful timing and power punching.
Usyk is phenomenal.
Cant wait for Dorticos vs Gassiev.
This tourney is sensational.Comment

LMOA. What a coinsidence that those who didn't care to watch this fight live and comment here afterwards now call Usyk "exposed" and "sucks horrible". Casuals detected.
He fought against #2-3 ranked boxer of the devision with powerful right and left and though no boxing amateur career he was kickboxer. Clearly talented sportsman. Usyk did great after 3rd disasterous round.Comment
