We will find out. But roach is no dumb man. The people with the most boxing knowledge can see what Wilder brings. It's as easy as that.

They will only acknowledge Wilder after he beats AJ - even then, they will come up with an excuse like "Wilder has twice the fights; AJ made some mistakes; Wilder only won because of his power." Since the AJ-Wilder fight began to get closer, opinions are now changing about who should be favorite, especially from most of the guys who really fight. Bookies will still have AJ as favorite unless he messes up badly in the Parker fight. However, all that does not matter because Wilder beats him anytime, any day, anywhere.

It is the media and experts that hype up AJ. AJ throws more technical shots in terms of form and starts out rounds keeping his hands up. But since when do you win fights based on that? Ring IQ, timing, speed, etc., are other things that help in these matches. Also, AJ looks the part but since when does that win you fights? Broner looks more technical than Maidana but got whooped.

From what I've gathered its the fact aj can put 70,000 arses in seats against woeful competition that ensures his success as we mentioned on the other forum money is the driving factor between popularity and actual ability I think aj looks the part but has very little technical skill and relies on power and intimidating an opponent with his size. But because he can fill stadiums hearn will continue avoiding challenges and generate more money from casuals but it actually hinders any potential growth for ajs technical ability fighting people he's expected to beat which is why the prem stoppage against takam won't be a one off event I can see it happen a few times

He really don't seems to have good ring IQ, or any at all. Even the shot that took Wladimir was the same he was trying time and time before, even the timing was the same. It took Wladimir because he was too gassed to slip in time, but Wilder isn't on his 40's

Lennox Lewis was at least 225 at some point when he started his , took him about 4 years to hit nearly 240, he was 224 against Ossie Ocasio in 90 . Big tall guys are going to fill out ,they arent made to stay slim if they are weight training or genetically gain mass as they get older .

Lewis didnt even have bulk before turning pro , he was actually wider than Joshua and thicker too . Joshuas more sculpted ,hes also taller .

Razoz Ruddock was 200 pounds in 1985 , go take a look at his 240 pound hulking body in the Tyson fights in 1991 . And he was 6'3 ....

Tony Tucker 200 pounds in debut to 222 vs Douglas (he didnt weight train )

Frank Bruno only 6'3 at 217 to 228 and nearly 240 vs Lewis .

Wlad Klitchko 225 at least to in the 240's .

Joshua is just singled out bc of social media .

Joshua started his career at 230 5 years ago .He just recently ventured at 250 ,no one stays at the same weight nearing their 30's ,metabolism slows and its easier to pack on muscle i know that myself gaining 30 pounds since my teens . Nothing crazy about it at all.

I highly doubt hes on anything looking like that and not getting caught . Mike Tyson would be in the same boat today too and he was more proportioned than Joshua and P4P bigger at only 5'10 and 220 .

You also have to take into account these guys arent average ppl , they live and breath training and hired nutrionists ,trainers and coaches ,it aint like yester year .

Yeah good points only person I see beating wilder and by decision is usyk when he moves up. Also this upcoming ortiz fight would have been a loss 2 to 3 years ago but wilder is getting ortiz at the right time & place

Well no more than Takam who was actually bending down short of breath in between rnds .

Joshuas punch counts suggest he was fine landing over 60% in the 10th rnd .
