Comments Thread For: Malignaggi To Critics: Garcia-Rios is Fun Fight, What's The Problem?

On February 17th from the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, two-division world champion Danny Garcia (33-1, 19 KOs) returns to the ring in a welterweight showdown with Brandon Rios (34-3-1, 25 KOs), who had previously won a world title at 135-pounds. The contest will be the first fight for Garcia since losing a twelve round decision in his unification with Keith Thurman at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

This coming from the guy who let an MMA fighter embarrass him to help sell a scam fight from Showtime. Would expect no less from this scumbag than to defend this garbage fight. Surprised he still isn't begging Conor or making baseless PED claims.

Rios will get stop. If Bradley was able to stop him with body shots... Look at Garcia body work. He lands mean body shots too.

I wish Rios would **** him up but he's just done.

Mismatches are not entertaining. Why did DSG call this guy out during his prime? Rios looked so bad in his last fight. Nothing on his punches. So no, Rios doesn't entertain us anymore. That's why his last fight wasn't on HBO or Showtime. Because he no longer seems to have anything on his punches, so his power punching style doesn't seem to exist anymore, so it's not entertaining to watch at the top level anymore because he's just going to get blown out, and he poses no threat at all.

At least, based on his last fight. That would be why. Not that complicated.

In other news, how did the man who used to call out Al Haymon on live TV become such a sellout?

The problem, Paulie, is that one guy is a 10-1 underdog...

It's a fun fight for sure. Danny is just tasteless. Says Spence and TC need to fight each other before the winner "earns" their shot at him

...meanwhile Danny fights..Brandon Rios?? Who? Is this 2010???

People are hyper critical of Danny bc he's annoying as all hell. He clearly lost to Herrera and Thurman and strong cases can be made for LP and even Zab Judah. He had great wins over Khan and Matthyse, but has done very little since and that's what, five years??

Fans are just tired of his whole act. Thurman is helping him now by selling himself out which takes the spotlight off Danny. Keith "I'm not afraid to take an L" can't fight anyone worth a damn and can't rematch anyone worth a damn.

Both guys are just crazy hype. Crazy, crazy hype
