Floyd is the best fighter of his era no doubt about it. But he really is a fighter who took no risks and didnt give 2 ****s about the fans or actually entertaining the fans. Hes all about money and thats not a bad thing, but he just lacks those legendary classic fights on his resume.

Part of it is that he fought in a way that was taking zero risks, if he could just jab the whole fight and use his defense to a decision he would. He did not care about entertainment at all, his pre fight all access and 24/7 was more entertaining than most of the actual fights. If he actually wanted to he could have stopped more of his opponents or atleast tried to make it exiting but he never did even though he was capable with his skillset. Thats most fans knock on floyd, hes too risk adverse. Sure if he took more risks he might have lost but he . cares way too much about his "0" . The truth of it is that fans will always love guys like SRL and tommy hearns more and thats why they will be ranked ahead of floyd by most.

You said 50-0 (no fighter ever did that) and clearly they have.

Hopkins IMO is a greater fighter. I actually consider Pacquaio too and the washed up Pacquaio for Floyd counts even less than Holmes did for Tyson. Roy Jones too but his best year was 1994 but he's still a greater fighter than Floyd but like Floyd & Pac I'm su****ious of PED use.

Name one great fighter Mayweather fought in or near their prime?

Something a 12 year old would say. "Waaa waaa my dad is bigger than your ma waaa waaa".

Think about you Floyd "fans" is that you only root for him because people told you he's the best and had he lost one or two of those decisions you'd have given up on him. Floyd is the casuals favorite. The type of fans that never even coughed up money to attend his fights. I've been to more Floyd fights than most his fans here combined lol

usually it's only great fighters that cause people to write a novel of an opening post about them.

Prime Toney is better than perhaps Floyd's best 5 combined

Hopkins also probably better than a lot of Floyd's combined

McCallum was old but that's still better than Mosley, De La Hoya wins for example

Hill again better than perhaps anything Floyd did

                  Johnson
                  Ruiz
                  Tarver I
                  Griffin
                  Harding
                  Tate

Now there's not a TON of depth but the top end is so much better.

I never said his resume isnt good. It is. But he still took zero risks on his approach to boxing. He didnt care about the fans or entertaining them.

You look at SRL, Tommy hears, Duran. All those guys have those career defining fights that fans remember for a long time. Floyd lacks that its just true man. He was way too careful.

                      You sound desperate

                      Johnson
