Put it this way he has better options at 147 as opposed to staying at 140.
He’s got some options at 147, Horn, Pacquiao, Matthysse, maybe Sadam Ali if he moves back down.
For Spence-Crawford to become realistic both need to increase their value, maybe if Spence beats Thurman and Crawford beats Horn and Pac, there will be enough money in that fight to allow HBO and Sho to either collaborate or negotiate a deal.

I honestly think people have just made peace with that notion that very rarely do top rank fighters come out to play, they will just stay in house and fight obscure name fighters and at the opportune time when one of these obscure name figthers happen to get a paper title they will make those weirdo title matches that they usually have, and rinse and repeat. I honestly haven't meet one person who I really talk boxing with that expects or even has hope that crawford would fight any other WW from pbc.

Hes gonna fight jeff horn, get that title and then face some noname, maybe get pacquaio and then his big fight will be probably jose benevidez jr. or some mixup of those type of fights

        possible fights for crawford
        Brook
        Ali
        Benvidez jr
        Pacquaio
        Horn

            They should make it.

            Crawford-Horn

            Spence-Thurman

Winners fight but Thurman has already said he won't fight Spence this year so I say just make Crawford Spence later this year.

Hasn't even fought at 147. Plus doubt they'll fight cause bottom rank

And Crawford hasn't openly said he won't fight spence this year

How long does it take to get used to 147? If its late in the year he will have had over a year to prepare considering he fought in august 2017 last, with a nice straight forward warm up fight against horn to introduce himself to the division with.

The guys supposedly pound for pound number 1, surely with his skills and with over a year of preparing for 147 he should be good to go at the end of 2018?

I cant imagine there will be a huge surge in either guys popularity if the fight is allowed to 'marinate' either. So will crawford be a coward too if he doesnt accept the fight? Or is it only thurman who has to fight spence?
He obviously has to get used to the weight. Which could take 2 or 3 fights. Thurman is a welterweight.

Crawford hasn't proven himself at WW yet, I think when he does and if both can stay on track, the media will demand this fight.

i dont get why the 'pound for pound number 1' needs over 12 months to prepare to move up 7 lbs. You guys are talking as if he is a damn prospect lol. If they fight in december thats around 16 months to have been prepared to carry a few more pounds. And to people saying 'he hasnt fought at 147 yet' im well aware of that hence why i said at the end of the year.

The idea is that Crawford, who will most likely have the WBO belt would face the last man standing in PBC (probably Errol). The fights will probably be hard to make between Top Rank and PBC so the final fight while hard to make get easier because it determines the top guy in the division and probably pound for pound.
