Kovalev is actually no more popular than Spence, Crawford, etc, with American fans. His only PPV fights were vs Ward, who is American, and most of the crowd at those 2 fights were cheering for Ward, not Krusher. I haven't noticed huge American crowds rooting for Loma either!

GGG is an exception to the rule. Something about his style and personality appeals to people, whatever their nationality. Americans rooted for him against Stevens, Munroe and Wade. Mexicans rooted for him against Rubio and even against Canelo.

The Brit fans at the 02 didn't root for GGG against Brook because they were 99% hard core Kell Brook fans who came down from Yorkshire to cheer their local hero on. Brook brings around 20k Yorkies to all his fights, and 20k was the capacity of the 02.

First of all you and I both know ggg would never get more love fighting Canelo in Mexico period. Under zero circumstances is ggg going to be the fan favorite in Mexico over Canelo.

Contrary here in America you would have a lot of fans rooting for ggg over Ward, The Charlos, Mayweather, Wilder etc. Pacquiao fighitng in the Philipines will NEVER have his country rooting for an outsider I don't give a fuuck who it is.
