“Mayweather is a great fighter, but he was very heavy for me,” said Marquez, whose only fight above 135 pounds was against Mayweather. “Yes, I think if Mayweather had fought at 135 or 140 it would have been a different fight.”

“I think Mayweather didn’t want to lose more weight because it’s very important,” Marquez said. “He took that advantage. At first I was surprised and I felt very angry, but I don’t know what I could have done.”

Arguably. I'd consider Hopkins, Jones, Whitaker, Holyfield, Chavez and perhaps Pacquaio as all ahead of him in the last 25-30 years but it's all subjective. It doesn't obsess me as much as you for example.

I'm not into that "my fighter is the best yours is the worst..my fighter is better than yours" talk especially with Mayweather fans because most of them like you became fans AFTER they were told he was the best pound for pound and AFTER the De La Hoya fight so it's easy to pick and chose your favorites that way. The fans that have been around longer a lot of them went from Roy Jones to Mayweather.

You'd get laughed off the forum if you did. JMM isn't even in consideration. Not through lack of effort though. Never seen a fighter drink piss to try and win, JMM did, maybe he should have tried shit instead?

You don't know when i became a fan. You know nothing about me. Sit down little man. I KNOW you're a little man.

I didn't suggest Marquez was the best. I think he's been one of them and one of the better fighters to watch and that's all I ask. I'd say legacy he's just behind the names I mentioned but again all subjective.

Well, when did you become a fan? Tell me because until you tell me I will just assume you became a fan AFTER Floyd was recognized as pound for pound and AFTER the De La Hoya fight.

              I'm 6 foot 3.

Weight wasn't the ONLY reason he lost.

Yeah Marquez was acclimated at 147 by 2012, but he was dominated by Floyd so clearly that even if you negate the size advantage, he would have still been a huge underdog and the fight wouldn't draw much. Floyd and his team would have known that and would have no interest.

You're a Floyd fan, you know for a fact that he would have got a lot of **** from everyone for wanting to fight Marquez again, regardless of the Pac KO. He was four years older than in 09, and people forget that he took a good amount of damage himself before he put Pac down.

lmao jmm cherrypicked an inferior Bradley and got his ass whooped for it. Floyd was way past prime when he fought canelo so no excuses. Canelo was a champion, p4p and had 40 plus fights so there are no he was "green" excuses for him.

He threw 493 punches in his fight with JMM,While Jmm threw 583...
