Yeah, but Canelo had no amateur background so was still in the developmental stage of his boxing life and was coming off a lucky decision over Trout after been gifted a belt against the worse Hatton despite failing to make weight.

I'd hardly say Bradley was a cherry pick given that Marquez was 40 years old, 5 divisions higher than his career weight and Bradley was the unified champ at 140 as well as a fully fledged welterweight 10 years younger and at the peak of his career at that point

"If the fight is proposed and the conditions are acceptable, then of course [I would do it]. But we all know how things are done when fighting Mayweather in Las Vegas. In that city the officials protect him, let him do everything. Fighting him is a burden," Marquez said.
True, Floyd did love that home cooking.

I don't think there was a clamor for a re-match even though aged 39 and 5 weights up from his career division he was able to do something Floyd never did in defeating a great fighter. I think that's a good achievement.
How is it possible for a 24 year old with 43 fights to be green?

Bradley was the ultimate cherrypick....he fought him because bradley looked like garbage vs pacquiao. Bradley is the most overrated fighter of that last 10 years and jmm lost to him lmao. Jmm just beat pacquiao so i dont wanna hear an age excuse. Floyd has beaten top fighters well into his late 30's so cut the bs.

I'm sure Floyd is quite fine that he was in no life or death fight with Pacman. He easily beat those two cats who went life and death with each other.

If Hulk Marquez would've beaten Tim, I could see him going after Floyd and hitting him with that Right like Maidana did, but this time it would've knocked Floyd out. But since Marquez couldn't even get passed Bradley even with Memo's steroids, Marquez knew a fight with Floyd would turn out the same.

But never beat a great fighter near their prime.

Marquez lost at 40 so what? It's just a testament to him he was about to score a big win at that age against that caliber of fighter. Hard to hold a fight against him aged 40. Does Whitaker getting his **** pushed in against Tito aged 34 mean Whitaker needs to be re-evaluated?

You think Marquez was in his prime in his late 30s as a Welterweight because you don't know boxing and/or are too biased to discuss it objectively.

It would have been pointless. Floyd made it clear about who he felt gave him tough enough matches that warranted rematches. They got the rematches. He was willing to give Ortiz a rematch as well but Victor kept losing.
