Assuming Vasyl beat Garcia, that would be a nice win. I think Mikey is too big, but that’s another story. The same can be said about Crawford; and, as you point out, it would have to be at a CW. Just too many “ifs” in Lomachenko’s future. Though I agree fighting legacy is not about money, you make money based on reputation. And reputation is built on beating name fighters. Linares, for instance, while good, isn’t a name like DLH or Mosley. Neither are Garcia or Crawford, for that matter.

I’m very into different training techniques and pursuits. Vasyl impressed the hell out of me with some of that workout footage shown on ESPN prior to the Rigo fight. Jumping across the ring on his hands like that is no joke. The strength (these weren’t just handstand push-ups), the coordination, the balance and, yes, the overall athleticism on display was probably beyond the understanding of most people.

He was already accused of having white privilege because he earned 3x as much as Rigo in their fight.

Stop trying to discredit white fighters, especially one whose legacy will surpass Floyd's in a few years.

That's all you cared about right there.....just hurts your soul to see a black man run things. Damn y'all already got Jesus and y'all still complaining

this reminds me of a question posted on boxing forum 24 asking the same thing but about sergio martinez. it was 20 plus pages of debate whether sergio was really "white". ill post the link but it doesnt let me.

as far as loma being the most athletic white boxer. I'll say its between him and calzaghe.

loma cannot surpass floyds legacy. impossible. theres no big name opponent out there that'll put him on the map. mikey vs loma is a harcore fans dream it will not crossover into mainstream. floyd had an endless choice of big name opponents. and you can pick apart the wins on any boxers resume if you focus on that. just like some people say rigo was old, inactive and small. walters was inactive and oh yeah the shadow of salido hanging over loma like a black cloud. you can destroy any resume if you put your mind to it.

cotto, canelo, mosley, de la hoya, marquez & pacquiao are wins loma could never match. not because hes not capable but there are no opponents on this level out there for him.

floyd benefited from a deep talented hall of fame era.

Lol GGG isn't White - he is half Asian (Korean), and half White (Russian).

Loma is 100% White European. Lol if he was born in USA, and didn't have an accent, he would be identical to the average White American. Well, about 50 pounds slimmer, but all the same.

I guess Rigo isn't black, right? He's Hispanic, doe!!

Don't confuse culture, nationality, ethnicity, and race.

Although I know you know he's White, and can't deal with the fact Whites are operating on an even playing field in boxing now.

Like Bob Dylan said - "Times, they are a changing." Get used to it, boy..

Of course Sergio Martinez is White?

                      What else would he be?

He's from Argentina, and has a Spanish last name.

He might have a very, very small amount of Amerindian blood, but there wasn't a large native population in Argentina, and not a lot of intermixing, like there was in Mexico, or Northern South America, and Central America. Maidana is mostly Amerindian blood doe..

That's like saying RIGO isn't a black man because he's Hispanic, and Cuban.

Canelo is another - he probably has like 3-11% Amerindian DNA. And 90ish% White, European DNA. In that, his blood is mostly made up of WHIte, EUROPEAN, SPANISH CONQUISTADORS. those who conquered and colonized Mexico, and forced the Spanish language.
