What are you describing as "athletic"? I see him as being highly technique-driven. "Athletic" tends to describe guys like Roy and Pacquiao who do unusual things which rely on physical gifts more than technique. The things Loma does now, he should be able to do in 5, or even 10 years because they are rooted in technique, not athleticism.

I like where you're going with this. It's a very good point as far as boxing speak and what we're actually talking about. Still, I'll credit Lomachenko as a "pure athlete" because I think he could play the role of the explosive, oustide guy a little more (than he needs to) due to his ability to fight at any range of his choosing.
