Evander Holyfield: beat Holmes, Foreman, Tyson(x2), Douglas, etc. Only boxer in history to be Undisputed champ at both Cruiser and Heavyweight. Four-time Heavyweight champ.

Floyd had the better all around skills, plus he was never a testosterone cheater like Holyroid was.

Holmes and Foreman came out of retirement so put ***'s (yeah, 3!) next to those wins. Tyson was shot and he fought hella dirty.

Holyfield still was impressive despite his *'s. Floyd had something special not many fighters in history had and thats the complete package.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Holyfield's wins over Qawi and De Leon.
I can believe it because of their lack of knowledge. Someone in here listed 42 year old Larry Holmes as a great win for Holyfield lol.

huge lack of knowledge. idiots continue to say Evander was a cheat yet dismiss Floyd's own steroid use with IV to hide it.

side note, that's awesome you've been around since 07, I would've loved to have seen it then, I bet it was a lot better with guys actually discussing boxing

I voted for Floyd. I think Holyfied will win the poll. Check thread below.

Talk about anything boxing related here. Where the boxing discussion is always Non Stop!

In the October issue of Ring magazine they asked 20 writers and historians to list their top 20 fighters since World War 2.
Points were awarded to each fighter = 20 points for 1st place placing, 19 points for 2nd place ect.
Here is how the total came out. The number of 1st place votes are in brackets.

          1. Ray Robinson - 396pts - (17)
          2. Henry Armstrong - 339 - (1)
          3. Muhammad Ali - 324 - (1)
          4. Roberto Duran - 296
          5. Joe Luis - 293
          6. Ray Leonard - 258
          7. Willie Pep - 246 - (1)
          8. Archie Moore - 189
          9. Julio Cesar Chavez - 171
          10. Ezzard Charles - 164
          11. Perenell Whitaker - 132
          12. Floyd Mayweather Jr - 118
          13. Marvin Hagler - 117
          14. Carlos Monzon - 98
          15. Eder Jofre - 86
          16. Sandy Saddler - 82
          17. Roy Jones Jr - 80
          18. Rocky Marciano - 77
          19. Bernard Hopkins - 66
          20. Ike Williams - 55

holy, continually took the riskier fights by far.

but drug use may drop him below MOneyman.

holy could have gone 50-0 if he'd careered at LHW and CW with an opposition shorn of ATGs and Hof (though Money does have faded Pac). BUt Evander had no interest in a padded career. He faced the ultimate meatball as often as possible.

              Amazing..........

Pacquiao fans that left after Mayweather embarrassed him suddenly come back at the same time to vote in this poll.

                    plenty, look at his resume.

but more to the point of the thread, undisputed is more important than "titlist"

                      You don't now do you?

I guarantee it's less than Mayweather.
