lots of those stoppages were of the british variety. if you watch the trajectory of his punches he does a lot more hitting with the "fingers" than most pro fighters. people call it a slap. if you turn your knuckles over you can hit much, much harder. addressing the target iwth the knuckles reduces the surface area that's coming into contact with the target, making for a harder punch. doesn't mean he wasn't a very good fighter, because he was. the guy had very bad hands and compensated for it. by slapping some of the time.

had a great chin, gas tank, he was very fast. you don't need to be a big puncher to be good, or even a hall of famer.

funny you dont mention joe on wobbly legs immediately before and you dont think why he wasnt stopped for it. Same old biased BS. The ref was bent. If it had been end of round he'd have carried joe back to his corner like they do in cardiff.

the ref was spending more time talking to joe calzaghe when he panicked and asked the ref to stop the fight. BLATANTLY joe turns to ref asking him to stop it!

cos hes not blind like u. And now you've just admitted it was a stumble! So it was a fake stoppage in your eyes!
So Joe was the one hurt and not Mitchell?? Man, get the hell out of here.

This place is too full of morons for my taste.

you need to keep up, I answered about calzaghe lowblowing hopkins in round 2 to avoid getting stopped by 43 year old hopkins (who had stopped noone of late) a long time ago.

if you cant keep up, dont bother answering.

Where are you from then? Because you sound exactly like an American.
you sound like a full on idiot who reckons joe fraziers resume of full of nobodies, but you dont hear me complaining.

To me Joe was an above average puncher but he didn't lose, so to me it doesn't matter.

On a side note, he would have been wiped out by prime RJJ

shame most of them are you... of the type who think that ATG fraziers resume, with its win over number 1/2 HW EVER, is rubbish.

joe-byron - both were taking blows, it was a catfight. But joe is clearly the one hurt first and floored.

if you cant stand the truth, this is not the room for you.

One positive that stands out for joe is that he displays his ability to fight on the backfoot well in this bout, even if the negative of him turning to the ref to ask him to save him kinda ruins that.

actually I understood that you said fraziers resume is rubbish, thats exactly what my reply was specifically about - you failed even in your comeback since I was SPOT ON, mate!

ok goodbye, I have no interest in debating with someone who thinks an ATG has crap resume. Go back to your inner circle of USA-haters, I suspect thats where u are "from".
