Yah , he only got a few more fights left. He has taken way to much punishment in his career. I hope he KTFO Cotto if they ever fight.

Man, Cotto has the tools to beat Castillo, Corrales, Gatti, and Hatton, right now at 25 years. All he has to do, is bring back his left jab (dont know if he didnt use it on perpuse, he breifly jabed in the 4th, but for some reason stoped). And when he boxes, he will shut out more than half on that list.

Alot of those fights are toss up fights where i would take hatton, castillo, corrales and maybe even gatti because of Cotto's inexperience fighting at that level. (obviously pre-fight buildup and what weight the fight will be at will be a major factor)
However, i agree that Cotto may have the tools to beat those guys, but im not sure he has shown them yet.

Foreman said it, all he needs is his left jab. When he jabbed Paulie he had him backing up, but he stoped and contuned to come foward to throw nothing but hooks. I dont even think I seen a uppercut from him, which he usally throws some very good ones. Against Castillo and Hatton, the left jab will win him the fights.

My biggest guess is that he is taking these low risk fighters, and brawling with them for experince, and to gain fans to buy his PPVs, or to make a good show. He was successful with his jab, but stoped, than walked into punches again. In a big fight like Castillo or Hatton, he will use his jab. So if I was you, I wouldnt bet on it...

Castillo can box with him and brawl with him, and has an unbelivable chin on him.

Surrrre. Thats a big lie, Castillo can be easily outboxed. Deigo was in the 3rd fight, and should of in the 1st and 2nd.

Sorry I have to jump into this dicussion. cotto is fighting these low risk fighters b/c they have no KO power and have little to none big time experience.

I am a fan of Paulies but I am not blind on what he is right now, he is a very skilled, fast boxer w/ little power and not a lot of experience. and he still took rds from cotto.

so cotto fans dont be blind to what cotto is he a fighter with big punching power period, he is not elite by any means yet.

cotto can not out box Gatti or Hatton, he doesnt have the skill. whoever said he was a good boxer is dead wrong, somebody said 'all he is missing is a jab', hahaha well to put it simple he cant box thats what that means.

His best bet is to get into a brawl with them and these r the big boys with real power if i were a cotto fan id be worried b/c he has been rocked by torres, corley, etc (not big punchers, *and remember he out weighed these guys by at least 15 pds and was still hurt*) Gatti and Hatton hit for real

so cotto fans should be a little more humble in there recent wins, the smart ones know that his past 3 wins r very insignifigent and proves nothing but that he can beat light punching and inexperienced fighters in which he out weighs by 3 weight classes. If thats what gets u goin then way to go cotto!

1st, stop writing paragraphs man! Ok, Angel Mandfredy outboxed Gatti, and Gianluca Branco supposely beat him. There, you have no point left, go away.

He hung in there with Floyd Mayweather.
He should be able to hang with Cotto.
