      That means he's got something.
It’s fair to say Ortiz is the best opponent Wilder has faced, but that’s more a reflection of Wilders terrible opposition to date, so to compare the names on Mayweathers resume, I would deem an Ortiz is the level of someone on Mayweathers record like Demarcus Corley, comparing the two fighters is just not even a thing.

Ortiz is very slow, old, now off the PEDs and whilst he probably durable he’s unlikely to beat Wilder imho, it’s another example similar to Stiverne. Wilder will come in and smash Ortiz and everyone will get really excited and yet Ortiz has done very little to be regarded in the division.

Here is a thought about Wilder's opponents. CHARLIE ZELENOFF landed more shots on Wilder then Stiverne did in the rematch...

          Yes he did.

The first punch, a left hook, lands on the temple.

Are any of these guys worth comparing to Floyd's resume? No.

But as far as the heavyweight division is concerned I had Ortiz ranked in the top 3 and considered him the most feared/dangerous of the contenders. He destroyed a Jennings who gave Klitschko a difficult time.

That was prior to his PED busts, though.

Amir Khan wouldn’t even have gone down after that hook. He connected with an open palm and his elbow was low. Hardly any power in that shot. And it landed behind the temple.

Anyway, it wasn’t the lame hook that sent him down, it was the straight right that didn’t even land.

A shot from a guy with Wilder's size and strength, landing on the temple area, is enough to mess up anybody's equilibrium.
