Stephen Espinoza expects Showtime and Anthony Joshua to remain business partners “for a long time.” Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, has shopped American television rights to Joshua’s fights to HBO, Showtime’s premium cable rival, but Espinoza is confident Showtime will continue to air the British superstar’s bouts. Assuming a deal is finalized soon, Espinoza told BoxingScene.com that he expects Showtime to televise Joshua’s next fight, a heavyweight title unification match against Joseph Parker.

Right, but HBO and SHO don't have to impress advertisers. They have to satisfy subscribers. SHO chooses to offer their subscribers as many options as possible to watch their fights, even though it causes the published ratings to be extremely misleading. HBO chooses to offer their subscribers as few options as possible to watch their fights, to protect the published number.
So when trolls on this site are comparing HBO & SHO viewership, they need to keep in mind how misleading the numbers are. HBO does everything possible to artificially prop up the public number. SHO does everything possible to make alternate viewing methods as convenient and appealing as possible.Comment

This account is operated by multiple people.
SHO has additional rights to Joshua-Parker that they didn't have to Joshua-Pulev. Whether they exercise them or not, we don't know.Anyway i proved already that Showtime has to bid on the Joshua/Parker fight A fight YOU stated Showtime has already copped
Matchroom Boxing in a press release said both HBO and SHO can bid
You don't expect Matchroom to reveal the nitty gritty of private contractual details in a press release do you?Comment

We didn't say they've given up. We said they will give up eventually.
Correct. Which is why eventually they'll realize it's a waste of time. It's a different era Game of thrones tv series pays the bills nowadays soo that's life
Or, if they get UFC, they'll choose to allocate those funds.Comment

Both fights will happen both Stevenson needed to get the WBC on board for it to happen so it took longer to make. Venues for that date were also a factor.Comment

If you are talking about the venues that has been posted on an article on this site. His promoter was trying to make the fight last year and that was one of the reasons it didn't happen yet (aside from the WBC issue).Comment
