Ok that's not what you asked. You asked why he didn't get critisized. He didn't because he wasn't the new face of boxing as Canelo was touted to be. So the spotlight was off him.

We both know that the hate for Golovkin is real for you. Before he finally landed the bigger fights, you called him a hype job. After, you said he didn't deliver. Logic would dictate that while he steamrolled the cans, it would not be so easy with the guys at or near the top of the division. Now if Jacobs and Canelo would have handed his ass to him, you would be able to legitimately trash him, but they couldn't & didn't. So all you're left with is a quote from some sports writer, and your memories of statements of Golovkin's camp from long ago, when he was trying to get on the map.

You mean 3 weeks prior for one fight, vs Lemieux, who started his testing at exactly the same time as GGG.

But why blame GGG's side for the late start there?

Golovkin was the one begging for that fight, and GBP was the lead promoter, not K2. Seems far more likely that GBP dictated terms for the testing procedures.

GGG has never started VADA testing any later than his opponent, and, unlike Canelo, he has never requested exemption from VADA testing for any fight.

You say GGG started "declining" at the same time he started the WBC year random tests - at the age of 33. I don't call that suspicious.

What I do call suspicious is Canelo telling the WBC he wasn't interested in them or their title at the same time as the ruling ordering random year round VADA tests for all WBC champions and top 15 ranked contenders was made.

Golovkin vs Wade fight announced on Feb 2nd. Testing began March 25th and fought 4 weeks later too, thats the way ggg was doing vada prior to being enforced by wbc...
