      Just my opinion, but the bigger a fighter can get without being especially fat, the bigger and stronger he will be for his chosen weight-class. While I agree that what matters most is if a fighter can make weight, I don’t believe the story ends there. I do believe natural size is a factor. It’s clear a lot of knowledgeable men have thought so for many years, as draining to make the lightest possible weight has always been a very common practice in combat sports.
